One month had passed. Pacifica was nowhere to be found, her family essentially destroyed. Bryce and his father were at their home, Christy in the underworld to rest. Alyssa was driving to a therapist, Ash had just texted her that her session was over. She passed by the familiar group of trees, 3 tall ones followed by one that was recently planted. She made a right into the parking lot, right ahead of her was the therapist office. Ash was sitting on the steps, headphones on while staring at her phone. Alyssa gently pulled up beside her and got out of her car. She sat beside the Goddess, she didn't even look to her side. Alyssa pouted as she started poking Ash, a small smile appeared on her lips. The blonde continued her poking onslaught until Ash just erupted in laughter. She continued to laugh as she took off her headphones, finally paying attention to the girl beside her.

“Hey Alyssa.” Ash said, a nice and upbeat tone in her voice. She still had a smile on her face.

“Hey Ash. How was your session today?” They both got up from the steps they sat on, both smiling now.

“It was good, started talking about the time I spent with Kate.” Ash tried to remain positive when finishing the sentence, but she couldn't. Her voice dipped a bit at the mention of it. Alyssa hugged her before Ash could round the car to the passenger seat.

“Hey, it's going to be okay. You've gotten better since the first time you came here, that's something.” Ash smiled at her comment.

“Yeah, I have. Can we go home now?” Ash asked earnestly, wanting to just be home. Preferably in the arms of Alyssa while watching something.

“Alright, we can go home now.” She let Ash go of the warm embrace, letting her go around the car to the passenger’s seat. They both got in, the car making its way out of the parking lot. They drove along the road, traveling to the place they called home. Their fingers locked together.

Pacifica had been roaming the country, she was mind controlling anyone she wanted. Who was going to tell her she can't? She was a goddess now, she made her own rules. She was in Seattle at the moment, the rain pouring down. She suddenly felt a familiar pair of eyes watching her, the air around seemed to burn. She turned around, the burning eyes of Scarlet were watching her every move.

“Hello Pacifica, how have you been? You've acquired quite a hefty army.” Scarlet motioned to everyone around her, all under Pacifica’s control. There was an odd sense of menace in the air.

“Yeah, I have. Being a goddess is quite fun.” Scarlet just scowled on the inside, that was all she needed to know on Pacifica. “I ju-” A sword was sent flying into her skull, essentially chopping her brain in half. Pacifica fell to the ground dead. Scarlet slowly made her way to the corpse, she hated how sloppy the kill was. If she did that before being trapped, there would be no blood. Blood slowly trickled down the blade. A glow started to come from Pacifica's body. The sword held the glow of the dead body, until Scarlet touched it. Pacifica's power transferred to Scarlet, adding another ability to the seemingly endless amount. She smiled as she removed the sword, fragments of skull and bits of brain resided on the sword. She smiled and the sword disappeared, it vanished into a black smog that covered Scarlet. When the smog vanished, so did Scarlet. The only evidence that she was ever there was the dead corpse of a teenager.

A similar scenario plays out, it's the black of night. The light of the moon shining off a piece of broken glass. A group of masked muggers were mugging someone. The one talking had a clear and stern voice. He had a gun pointed at the couple's heads.

“Hand over everything now, or your brains get splattered across the wall and we take everything anyway.” A loud thud diverted everyone's attention, a similar black costumed vigilante was just standing up.

“Hello everyone, is this the line to get mugged? Can I jump in line?” A joking attitude coming from her, provoking one of the muggers. He grabbed his gun, but he was slow. A trail of lightning was left as the sound of a gun hitting the ground was heard. Midnight had rocketed forward and punched the mugger in his stomach. She grabbed him and threw him into the group. Before they could react, someone else joined the fray. A guy this time. He wore a blue hoodie with blue jeans. He had a mask that covered his entire face and blue shoes with white souls. He pulled a taser out of his belt, hitting one of the muggers with it. He collapsed but someone was already heading to the male. He dodged the punch that was hurled his way, and his knee found a home in the mugger’s stomach. The male then choke slammed the mugger, knocking him out. The rest of the muggers ran, but Midnight wasn't having it. “What's this? The party just got started.” Lightning flew from her fingertips, shocking each of the muggers. They all fell to the ground, pain in their bodies. She turned her attention to the couple.

“Are you two alright?” She restrained the nearest muggers to her with her lightning.

“Y-yes, thank you Midnight.” The man said, his voice shaky from the experience. Midnight smiled and gave them a thumbs up.

“Good! Now, meet Blue Nova, he's my partner. I'm showing him the ropes of all this, don't mind him if he's sloppy.” She admitted, folding her arms while staring at the man in blue. He just nodded. She motioned her head to the ones who tried running away, which he instantly ran to. He started tying them up with rope. “He's really new to this.” The couple just nodded. She shook their hands and went to her new partner. He was finishing tying them up.

“There, that's the last one.” He was trying to do a Batman voice so no one could connect him to his alter ego. Midnight smacked him upside the head before grabbing him, she then jumped on to the top of the building with him in hand. “What was the smack for?” He was rubbing his now sore head, his normal voice coming through.

“Drake, just stop. You're not Batman. You're Blue Nova, which is kinda dumb, and he's a Mr smile kind of guy.” Ash crossed her arms, looking at him. He was judging his performance.

“Sorry, I just don't want anyone to know it's me. Plus not all of have powers like you.” He was breathing heavy, clearly not in the best shape for this. Ash just shook her head and patted his shoulder.

“Catch your breath. You're doing will so far, keep it up.” Her words of encouragement added more fuel to his growing fire.

“Alright, let's get going!” His excitement caused a couple lights to turn on, also a lot of yelling was directed at them. They quickly started running across the building rooftops, getting away from the yelling.

Back in his little basement, Tyler was watching this all play out. He was “the guy in the chair”, which was Ash’s idea. Alyssa was also there cause this scared her dearly. Tyler just smirked.

“With these two idiots protecting the city, I think we're good.”
