Part 12

Ash finally stopped chasing Drake after a good 20 minutes, Drake was out of breath and Ash was fine. Drake crawled back into Tyler’s house while Ash just walked in. She was still a bit mad.

“You okay Ash?”

“I'm fine, just don't like people ruining my moments with you.” Ash smiled as Alyssa’s face turned red. “I made you blush… Yes! I made you blush!”

“You did, your beautiful voice made me blush.” Ash's face turned a bright red.

“There it is… You really think my voice is beautiful?”

“Of course I do.” Alyssa pulled Ash in for a hug. Ash returned it instantly. Tyler helped Drake up and covered his mouth to stop him from saying anything. Tyler helped him to the couch and they stopped hugging. “So what's your new power?”

“Uh, I'm not sure.” Tyler walked over to Ash.

“Focus on something. Maybe you can choose your power based on what you think.”

“Okay.” Ash placed her hand on Alyssa’s shoulder and focused. She stopped after a minute of focusing. “Damn it.”

“What were you trying to do?” Alyssa asked while raising an eyebrow.

“I was trying to change the si- color! I was trying to change the color of your eyes. Hehe.” She looked at Ash in confusion.

“Okay? Well it didn't work.”

“Yeah, it didn't. Damn.” Alyssa hugged Ash.

“It's okay. You will figure it out.” Ash hugs back.

“I know I will. Tyler, can you somehow make a test to find out what my new power is?”

“Uh… I don't know. I don't know what I'm supposed to be looking for.” Ash pouted.

“Well you're no help.”

“I know. Plus you took Drake out of commission by chasing.”

“Hey don't blame me, blame him for the comment.” He sighed.

“Fine. Listen, we’ll figure the power out later. Right now though, there is a bank robbery happening and only one person can stop it.” Ash sighed this time.

“Alr-”

“Oh my goddess! Do I get to see you be Midnight?!” Alyssa asked excited.

“Yes, you do get to see me be Midnight.”

“Ash, I better see that name in the news when this is over.” Ash smirked as she walked to his closet. She pulled out all black clothing and put it on. She was about to put on the hoodie when Tyler stopped her. “Wait, I actually have something.” He left the room. He soon came back with a black leather jacket with a bright blue lightning bolt that was at the very center of it. There was the same lightning bolt on the back of the jacket.

“Did you make me a jacket?”

“Yep, try it on.” He threw it and Ash caught it. She put it on.

“Holy shit this is comfy. Thanks. There's no hood though, how will I hide my face?” He threw Ash a mask. “Wow, did you get the simple mask that just covers the eyes?”

“Yep. It's also black.” Ash put it on.

“Well… look at the new and improved Midnight!” Alyssa clapped and squealed excitedly.

“Oh my goddess it's awesome!” Ash blushed.

“Thanks. I should be going now.” She quickly kissed Alyssa’s cheek before rushing off. There was a trail of electricity behind her.
