Genesis Bailey|Benji|
"Genesis." Mikayla shook me out of my sleep. "Are you okay?"
I sat up on the bathroom floor waving her off. Mikayla was one of the girls that I shared a room with. We had a similar life, but hers was much more worse than mines. Even with all that she's been through, she's always optimistic.
"I'm fine." I lied. This thing is giving me hell. I've been up since three this morning spilling my guts out.
"If I didn't know any better, I'd think you're pregnant." She leaned on the sink staring right back at me.
"What am I going to do? I can't care for a baby in my situation. I don't even think I'll even be able to look at it-"
"Genesis, it's your body and your choice. Whatever you choose to do I'll be here for you."
Hearing her say that made me feel a little more at ease. I needed someone else in my corner other than Delilah.
"You think I'm a bad person to want to not keep it?"
"Not at all, but it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks. Do what you think is best for yourself." She said.
"Thank you." She gave me and assuring smile and pulled me into a well needed hug.
"Now I'm going to the cafeteria to go flirt with the new janitor." A smirk formed on her face before she skipped out of the room.
On her way out Zola and Zain were making their way in. They visit a lot, which seems a bit odd to me.
"I brought donuts." He held up Krispy Kreme. While Delillo sat up in bed with excitement I was trying to hold back a gag.
I've never despised a person so much before even meeting them. This baby was making my life a living hell. I couldn't keep anything down and every little scent made me want to hurl.
"No thanks." I plopped down on my bed, trying not to seem rude.
"Genny is very sick." Delilah told them.
"You still haven't got over that flu?" Zola questioned and I shook my head.
"Zola, how about you take Delilah to go share donuts with grandma in the lounge next door." Zain suggested, handing her the bag.
"Okay!" She snatched the bag and ran out the room before Zain could chastise her for yelling.
"How long are you going to keep up with this 'flu' thing?" He sat on Delilah's bed across from me.
"What are you talking about?" I shook it off with a nervous laugh, while he gave me a look to tell me that he still wasn't buying it. "How did you know?"
"I have a daughter. I know what symptoms look like. I just wanted to see how long you were going to keep up with this charade."
"Not long, because there won't be anything to hide after tomorrow."
"You mean like..."
"Yes, I'm getting an abortion. It's not fair to me or the child to raise it knowing I won't grow to love it." I stared at him as he gave me an unexplainable look.
"But it's still a baby."
"Until you take a walk in my shoes you can't have a say on what I'm doing." I spat.
"I'm not trying to upset you. I'm just saying that you-"
"Zain, with all due respect I don't care what you're saying. I don't give a fuck what you think because this is my decision."
