Pool House

Every Saturday was ours, like we just knew once it was Saturday, we'd finally be able to take it over.
When you began to work, I began to treat each Saturday like it was the last time I would ever see you. Waking up each Saturday, I knew that we would be doing something fun. I was excellent at choosing dates. Sometimes I remember not going to sleep until one in the morning because all night we'd be up chit-chatting until you hit me with, "Baby I'm tiereddddd."

Wherever I went, you had me day dreaming of you. Like no joke I would literally get side tracked from whatever I was doing to stop and think about you.
I knew you hated work, it was a pain in the ass.
Six hours without talking to you were honestly the worst six hours of my day. I was patient with you, I waited for you to get back, I didn't talk to anyone because I focused all my attention on you. I wished you knew everything I did for you so that maybe, from a different perspective, you could see how loving I really was towards you.

Three in the morning: your Chevy would always be there, right by the empty lot.
As soon as you stepped out of the car, your shadow danced across the street and met mine in a hug.
Your silhouette mimicked everything I loved in one picture; Picasso couldn't have painted anything more beautiful.
Your pajamas were the cutest, I always wonder what type of clothes people wear before they go to sleep.
The room was covered in wood, like the interior was decked out in polished wood that smelled so fresh. Liquor on the counter and the king bed covered in our clothes.
I remember how nervous you were as soon as you stepped foot in the room. The expression on your face, your raised eyebrows, and devilish smile had me weak.
I knew you wore that 'Summer Marshmallow' cream because I smelled it while you were next to me. You left it in my bag and ever since then, my bag has the aroma of you in it.
The way you smiled at me from across the room made me want the moment to last forever but in reality, we never did last forever like YOU said.

Remember what color the sheets were?
You should since you couldn't stop covering yourself with them.
Remember how I treated you that night; you were the center of my universe.
The pool house is where we would see each other, love on one another, and listen to 'Drew Barrymore' play in the background.
