John's pov
"Yo Alex did you do the math homework yet?" I ask because the dumbass I am is confused like always during math.
"Yeah, I can help you if you want." He responds then smiles up from the book he was reading for his language arts class. It actually seemed like a good book it was called 'The Bronx Masquerade' I think.
A/N: my class is reading that book so that's why I put it in here lmao-
"Thanks!" I exclaimed then got my heavy math book out of my locker.
"Wait are we allowed to use chromebooks or laptops or whatever the hell they are called?" I asked then walked into the classroom.
"Um yeah I think so,-" he said then tripped on his own foot nearly falling on me so I awkwardly pushed him back up right.
"Oh, heh sorry." He said nervously chuckling and wiping his pants even though he didn't even get them dirty.
"Its fine, anyways I guess its time to start our detention!" I exclaimed sarcastically then sat down in a random seat followed by Alexander sitting in the one next to me.
"Oh uh no! You really think I would let you guys sit next to each other for detention? nope! Alex you go sit in the seat over there," he said pointing to a seat on one end of the classroom. "John you go sit in the one next to James Reynolds." Washington continued then shifted his arm so he was pointing towards the seat right next to James on the other end of the classroom.
Wow. Just great.
I quickly walked over to the new assigned seat I had then heard James mutter a 'hey'.
"Oh..hi?" I responded more as a question.
"You know this chick Maria right?" He asked.
"Yeah..she's my friend." I stated hesitantly.
"Does she like me?" He blurted out.
"Um..I don't know I've only been here for about two months...sorry.." I said then shrugged and attempted to do the math homework Alexander was going to help me with.
"Hm. What if I made a deal with you so you can get me with her." Reynolds asked.
I don't like this guy at all.
"No thanks, I don't really want to mess with her relationships-" I responded.
He glared at me then shrugs. "Ok then."
Well that was weird-
