--POV = Logan--

I stare at the house, taking in the surrounding area and storing it in my memory, before strolling up to the front door. I glanced at the dark blue gem on my shoulder, reminding myself why I'm here. After a moment's hesitation, I open the door. At first glance, it seems as if nobody was there. But then I spotted an open door leading to one of the bedrooms, and thought that somebody must have already arrived. I scolded myself for being late and glanced into each room. In the one with the already open door, I saw a cheery man with a red sash wrapped around him. He hadn't spotted me. He was busy sorting through jewelry.

"Hello." I said.

He jumped and spun around, summoning a Samurai sword from the golden gem on his chest. It cut the air right where my face had been before I had stepped away.

"Don't do that to me!" he sighed before backing away and letting his sword crumple into thin air.

I raised an eyebrow and pushed my glasses up my nose, "Do you know where a spare room is?"

Still heaving from the adrenaline, the man nodded and pointed to a spare room, "What's your name?"

"I'm Logan." I replied.

"I'm Roman, nice to meet you!" he extended a shaky hand.

I shook it formally before trodding off to my new room. It had a twin sized bed with a wardrobe and desk. I placed down my black briefcase before opening it and taking out what I would need for tonight. These included a pot of Crofters jam along with a spoon, my unicorn onesie and my laptop. I sat down at the desk, placing my laptop carefully on the wood surface and neatly opening the pot of Crofters. I threw the lid away and started spooning the jam into my mouth. I opened my laptop and started checking my emails. Before long, I heard a cheery knock at the door. I stood up and went over to answer it. When I swung open the door, I saw before me a very short man. He had blonde hair and blue eyes, with a blue polo shirt and a jumper wrapped around his neck like a scarf. He wore huge blue glasses and wore a small backpack decorated with cats and dogs. In his hands he held a dog carrier cage. I could hear a soft sniffling from inside. His gem was a glistening blue sapphire on his upper arm. He was grinning like a child on the first day of school.

"Hi!" he sang in a happy tone.

I looked at him in mild disgust, "Hello. Are you our new roommate?"

He nodded vigorously, "My name is Patton! Who are you?"

"I'm Logan," I was getting tired of telling people my name.

"Can I come in?" he cocked his head to the side like a dog.

I paused and then nodded slowly, stepping out of his way. He strolled in, being careful not to knock the dog carrier. I sighed as I watched him. This was certainly an interesting household.
