The two boys were sat in their hotel room, basking in the peaceful silence. Well to Keith it was peaceful. His reality lost miles away deep into a new world expressed through pages of a book. Lance, on the other hand, was casually lying upside down, half off the bed. He watched the TV from this angle, wondering how Australians do it. It was safe to say he was bored out of his mind. He couldn't understand how Keith reads, he didn't have the patience nor attention span for reading, never did.
After the informational played for the sixth time, he switched channels. Suddenly some loud French guy started yelling in a foreign language on some French Drama TV show, it startled him, making him lose his balance and he fell off the bed with a sudden crash. "nice one" Keith snickered. "just like a gymnast" Lance added by posing while lying upside down on his back with his legs half off the bed in attempt to sugarcoat his stupidity. This made Keith chuckled softly, Lance shot him a glare which only made Keith chuckled louder before turning back to his book.
Lance's eyes travelling around the room, resting on his UE boom speaker peaking out his backpack. He got up from the floor, grabbing it and his fully charged phone. Suddenly Gasolina started blasting through the small blue device. Keith physically jumped, his peace broken. "LANCE" Lance's hips swayed and dropped low, his eyes closed in bliss. He was lost in the music, not even caring about the violet eyes watching him with flushed cheeks. Keith couldn't tear his eyes away. The way the boy moved was so smooth and breathtakingly hot. His face looked so at peace, his body moving as if it's second nature. He couldn't bring himself to miss a second of it. He couldn't even try focus on his book anymore. There was no use. He was lost, not in a bad way.
Lance's ocean eyes popped open, meeting with Keith's mesmerised gaze. He smirked. "Like what you see?" He purred. Keith's eyes widened, he was screwed. He gained composure, replacing his flustered expression with nothing but a blank a gaze. "Can you turn the music down, we're gonna get told off" He looked down, focusing on anything but the sun-kissed god-like body still rolling and swaying. "But Keithy, I like it loud" Lance smirked, watching the pale boy almost choke, seemingly falling for his innuendo. "It's annoying" he mumbled almost inaudible over the music. With that, he grabbed his book and headed for the door. Lance stopped, his face falling to a frown. "Keith" his voice was lost in the lyrics. Keith ignored the muffled voice sounding so soft like a lost kitten. A hand wrapped around his wrist, tugging him back. "Wait, did I do something?" Lance's asked, his eyes full of concern. Little did Lance know, Keith was just scared he'd do something to the boy he'd regret.
Keith couldn't face him, he carelessly ripped his arms from the Cuban boys grasp. "I just want to read in peace, so I'm going outside for a bit" If he'd looked back, maybe he'd of stayed. Lance's gaze was one of concern and doubt. "Stupid, he doesn't like you. Why would he enjoy your slutty hoe dancing, you obviously just made him uncomfortable" Lance groaned, falling back on the bed in embarrassment. "What was I thinking" he sighed, turning down the music that was now playing softly in the background. He scrolled through his playlist, choosing a slower beat. Singularity by BTS was his pick. Tae's beautiful voice echoed through the room, making him feel a bit better already.
The air around Keith was calm and quiet. Not many people were out at this time of night. The constellations twinkled in the moonlit sky, the lanky palm trees completely still. He found a palm tree just off the pavement of the pool. He leans against it, his knees halfway up to his chest. Keith leant his head against the bark, sighing. His mind whirled with thoughts and images of his Cuban crush. Every thought he pushed away just came back with 4 more. He glanced down at his book, he wanted to read, anything to distract himself, he knew he couldn't focus on the words at this moment though. "Why, why do I have to have a thing for my best friend. He dances like that all the time, it's not like he especially did that for me, right?" Keith's hand gripped his hair, pulling on the dark strands with stress. "Arghh, I can't believe how stupid I am! I need to forget this!"
"Hey, you alright?" Keith slowly looked up, he didn't recognise the voice. He was met with the cute blue-haired boy waiter who served him. "Uh.. Yeah I'm fine" Keith looked down again, he could hear the guy sit down beside him. "That's what they all say" he replied with a sigh. "Why do you care anyway?" Keith replied with a monotone voice, his gaze strictly on the rock in front of him. It was a nice rock.
"My names Leo" Keith glanced to the side seeing the boy in all his glory. He was definitely a looker, you couldn't deny that. "Keith" Keith mumbled. "So Keith, do you want to talk about what happened" Keith sighed "It's a long story" "and we have all night" Leo smiles warmly, his eyes glued to the raven-haired boys sparkling violets. "Well, I'm gay" His face scrunched up in fear. This was a stranger, he could be extremely homophobic. "Hm, me too" the guy replied as if it was nothing. "Wha-" "I'm gay as fuck" Leo grinned. Keith's lips quirked up in amusement. "My family doesn't know" Keith frowned again. "Oh" Leo gritted his teeth in pity knowing there was more. "I'm scared to tell them, my best friend and his family too. I'm here with my family and his" "are they homophobic?" Leo asked. "I'm not sure about my Dad and his Dad, they grew up in a less accepting time. My sister isn't, I'm not sure about Lance's sister" Leo nodded, taking in the information. "I'm not sure about Lance, he and my Mom cried during Love, Simon so I don't think they are. No idea about his Mom" Leo placed a hand reassuringly on Keith's pale shoulder. "It'll be alright, why don't you start with your friend of Mum when you're ready. There's no rush" Keith's eyes travelled up to the stars. "Yeah, maybe I will" Leo smiled, taking in the gorgeous boys features. His sculptured jawline, his deep eyes that could reflect the galaxy, his smooth, clear skin, his cute little nose & soft plump, peach lips. "Your gorgeous" he blurted out. Keith attention was snapped back to reality. "What?" He heard what he said but it was too shocked to reply. "Ah, I said ahh" The blue-haired boy had no idea how to recover this. "It's all good, I heard you. Uhh, thanks" he smiled softly, making Leo smile too.
"Well I should go—" he went to stand up but a wrist softly wrapped around his arm. "Um, will you go on a date with me tomorrow?" His face was full of nerves, it made Keith smile. Maybe this was a way he could get over Lance. "Uh, yeah why not" Keith shrugged. The grin lighting up on Leo's face made him chuckle. "I have the best plan ever!" He cheered. Keith pulled his arm free and stood up. Leo followed. "Would you like me to walk you to your hotel?" The slightly taller boy asked the violet-eyed one. "Nah it's all good" "hand me your phone" Keith looked up confused. "I want to give you my number" Realisations hit Keith, of course that's what he wanted. He obliged.
Nothing could go wrong, right?"
