Mabilis ang pagtakbong ginagawa ni Adi, late na naman kasi siya. Inuto-uto niya pa kasi si Andeng kagabi tungkol sa baon niya pero hindi talaga umubra ang mga taktika niya dito! Iniwan na siya nina Kris at Jus dahil tulog mantika daw siya. Ayon iyon sa note na iniwan ng mga ito.

"Hudou..." naririnig na niya si Kluster na sinasabi ang pangalan niya kay Teacher Jane para mamarkahan ng absent, kaya ginilasan pa niya ang pagtakbo.

"Hudou... Adri---"

"I-I'm h-here, wooooh!" taas taas niya ang kanang kamay habang ang kaliwa naman ay nakatukod sa tuhod niya, hingal na hingal pa siya at tumatagaktak ang pawis.

"And why are you late?" tanong ni Teacher Jane.

"Traffic?" patanong na sagot ni Adi.

"Adi, naglalakad ka lang paanong may traffic?" epal na naman ni Kris!

"Tss. Traffic sa gate, ang daming na-late na student, hindi lang ako." irap niya dito. Minsan napapaisip talaga siya kung kaibigan niya ba talaga ito eh. Ang hilig kasi siyang ilaglag.

"Alright, take your seat, Adrianne."

Naupo na si Adi, pero hindi rin pala siya patatahimikin ng katabi niya.

"Did you take a bath?" nakangising tanong nito habang diretso ang tingin sa board. Hindi niya alam kung anong nakain ni Chaiser at nakikipag-lokohan sa kanya niya ngayon pero wala siya talaga sa mood ngayon dahil kumakalam ang sikmura niya.

"Aba't sira-ulo ka ahh! Naligo ako, amoyin mo pa ohh!" tinaas ni niya ang kamay niya at idinuldol kay Chaiser ang kili-kili niya... pero tumigil ang mundo niya ng tawagin muli ni Teacher Jane ang pangalan niya.

"Yes, Adrianne. Answer the question number 2."

"Aishh." kakamot kamot siyang tumayo, naaninag pa niya ang mumunting ngisi ni Chaiser! Asar talaga ang shutanamess.

"The fuck, Hudou, kindly respect the quiet one, will you?!" gigil nitong bulong, sisipain sana ulit ito ni Adi pero may tumatak sa isip niya sa sinabi ni Chaiser.

"Respect?" patanong na sagot ni Adi.

"Yes, correct. In your own words Adrianne, what do you think of the word, respect?"

"A feeling of a deep admiration." mabilis niyang sagot. "Respect is somehow like trust, hard to earn but easy to break, and also not for everyone but just for those who deserve it. You will not have it just by asking, because you will gain it base on your attitude and how you act as a person. People usually respect others who are impressive for any reason, such as being in authority, like a lawyer or a teacher or the much appropriate example are the parents of the middle class..." Adi smirked. "How pitiful is that, ayt? They are being respected because of the title, authority and power within their names, not because they really deserve it! Then, pagkukunwari and kaplastikan is being inserted!" walang ibig sabihin si Adi, pero nanggigigil na talaga siya sa puntong ito, hindi niya mapigilan ang bibig niya.

"People nowadays, they give their respect not to the person but to the power and money. They forget the real essence of it and to whom they should give it. Respect, we all deserve to have that, but we, as a person shouldn't ask for that but instead, earn it. No one owes us respect until we have earned it, so there is no such thing as we will give it after they give it to us first." litanya niya pa.
