The heat of the sun rays at me as I walked outside my apartment. It's Saturday and it simply means it's my off today. I was in a happy mood while walking on the street going to the shopping mall.
It is nearly two months since the day I came here and I almost forgot how to pamper myself. Today, I will treat myself and do shopping just like old times. I need to buy a new dress and shoes. Well, I've got money to spend, so why not? And I have to prepare myself for the party tomorrow. I'm hoping that I could see the man who killed Dad.
While I was walking in the mall, a familiar blonde hair approached me.
"Hi," he greeted while she smiled. I glance at my back to confirm that I was the one whom she greeted.
"Hello," I replied to Samantha awkwardly. Well, I can't be instantly close to her just like that. We were friends but it was before. I cannot forget how she treated me like trash when she saw me the first time being Bella Miller.
"You are Bella right?" she asked.
"Yes, Miss Hamilton," I replied.
"Don't be so formal. Just call me Sam. You are going shopping?" she questioned.
"Yes, definitely," I answered.
"Oh really? We could do it together if you want. I'm a little bit bored and I have no one to talk to. Maybe we could be friends," she suggested. Is she serious? I looked at her and studied her face. She looks sincere but I was wondering why is she doing this.
"Look Bella, I know I'd been mean to you the first time we met but I deeply apologize for that. I'm not that bad you know," she said.
"Okay, let's be friends," I agreed and she smiled widely. I don't trust her enough but maybe she has a good intention. After all, we had been friends for six years.
"Let's go there," she pointed out at the boutique and we headed at it.
"Will you be going to Arturo Sullivan's Birthday?" I asked while scanning for a dress hanging at the rack. Of course, I wont miss it," her voice was high and excited.
"You will be going with our president?" I questioned. She paused and at gazed at me.
"No, I wont. I realize that I don't really like him. I will be going with Liam Sullivan," she grinned. For heaven's sake! Liam Sullivan!? As in my cousin? So that means Timothy will be going alone tomorrow.
"So you don't like Mr. Breece Fitzgerald?" I clarified.
"Uh-huh. Breece is too gentleman and unpredictable. I like Liam more 'cos he is kind of bad boy. What about this one?" she asked while she held the silver long dress with a high slit.
"Not bad. But, Liam Sullivan has a infamous reputation as play boy," I love my cousin Liam and he is one of the closest man I ever met but I wont ever approve him dating one of my friends.
"Well, I love to play especially in bed," she giggled. I want to cover my ears, her voice was annoyingly high especially when she giggled like this.
"You know you remind of my friend Gabriela," she stated. I froze but I manage to calm down before she could notice.
"Who is she?" I asked trying to sound interested.
"She's my friend. Gabriela Sullivan was supposed to be the heiress of Sullivan Group of Company but unfortunately his father died and she has been missing up until now. Poor Gab," her voice was full of pitty. I looked away and tried to controlled the anger that I feel for the people behind my misery.
I took a deep breath and calm my nerves. I am supposed to relax and go to shopping. I will not ruin my mood because of what happened in the past. I cannot change it no matter what but I know I can change the future.
