I cannot keep myself relax knowing that Timothy was in danger. It made my chest tighten with fear and I can't bear it if anything bad happens to him.
Ellie was already on the ground waiting for me to jumped down but I stopped and decided to climb up again. I let out a sharp breath and when I was about to step on the rails Timothy ducked out and quickly leapt beside me.
Tears shimmered in my eyes upon seeing him safe. I instantly embraced him but then I felt a thick liquid gushing on his back. My body went rigid and my eyes went bigger when I saw him bleeding.
"You're wounded," my mouth turned dry as worry gnawed me.
"It is just a scratch. Come on, there are more of them. We need to leave now," he replied.
The sound of footsteps was getting louder and I know Timothy was right. We need to leave but I was worried about his wound.
Without noticing, he grasped my hand, "Can you manage?" he asked while looking down. It was not so high so I think I can keep up. I nodded at Timothy and together we jumped.
The sun was setting down and the place was in chaos while people were running in a different direction of the hotel. Maybe, it was because of the consecutive gunshot that raises a ruckus in the place.
We landed on the ground and I slightly lose my balance but Timothy catches me and steadies my stance.
"What took you so long?" Ellie asked furrowing her eyebrows but before I can answer I noticed a group of men who were approaching us. As adrenaline rush into my vein, I retrieved my gun and fired at them. Ellie and Timothy did the same.
At first, Timothy was against us using guns because, in the first place, Ellie and I are both women and women are not supposed to know how to handle a gun. But when he saw that we knew what we were doing, he stops opposing and side by side we fired at our enemy.
The signs of sunlight were vanished and had already been replaced with darkness. Only the moonlight illuminates the place while our enemy continued to attack us.
The exchange of bullets goes on and we were on the edge of winning. We took five of their company and only two men left. It was not easy to shoot at someone alive at first but it was a matter of life and death situation. I need to fight back to live or be merciful and die.
There was only one man left and Timothy shoot him in the chest. I smiled at him but then again it vanished as another ten appeared.
"We are outnumbered," Ellie stated as we took cover at the wall corner. Sweats trickled on her face as she fired at our enemy.
"I'm out of bullets," I gritted my teeth. My heart was pounding hard as for anticipation of our impending doom. Timothy moved fast in front of me and tried to cover me.
"We need to run, now!" Timothy ordered.
We snappily retreat as we sprinted as fast as we can going through the forest. My legs were beginning to ache as I stretch it to my limit and I can feel sweats creeping down on my back. My breath also hitched as my body demanded the need of more oxygen. My adrenaline rush was slowly draining but we cannot stop yet. Not when they were still after us.
I began to relax as I apprehend that there were no signs of our enemy. Ellie was in front of me and tiredness can be seen in her appearance as she moves slowly and breathed heavily. I feel worn out too and I bent down, catching my breath. Then, I remembered Timothy and his wound. I looked back at him and my face paled as I realize he was still bleeding.
Grimace can be seen on his face and he was starting to slow down. Fear flooded my being and I quickly held him, stopping him from his track.
"You're still bleeding Timothy," I anxiously said as I rest him on the tree.
