Office hours were almost over. I enjoyed my lunch with Timothy but somehow being his girlfriend is a little bit difficult. I could hear gossips anywhere I go, especially with my women coworkers. They would look at me with their dagger eyes and it made my blood boil. Of course, I didn't stoop down on their level but instead, I gave them my sweet smile. It's not being a hypocrite but being a woman with a class. Lucky for them, I ate my delicious lunch. If not, I would probably erupt like a volcano.
I was sitting at my table, waiting for Timothy to go out. I was a little bit anxious about meeting his family. I can finally meet Sebastian Fitzgerald but the problem is that I cannot confront him about Dad without giving away my true identity.
It's aggravating!
I squeezed my eyes closed, taking a deep breath as I calm myself. There's no use in rushing things. I need to get first the trust of Fitzgeralds. This is for Dad. I won't let any emotion clouded my judgement. My life is still at stake and revealing that I am Gabriela Sullivan would be detrimental.
"Are you okay?" I opened my eyes and saw Timothy standing in front of me with a concerned look on his face. I didn't even hear his footsteps.
"Yes, of course. I am just tired," I lied.
"You don't have to go with me. I will drive you home and you can take your rest," he ordered. Bloody hell! Why did I even say that I was tired?!
"No! I will go with you and I already took a nap," I stood up and clung to his arm. He furrowed his brows while he looked at me with analytical eyes.
"And I already said yes to you. I am a woman of my words after all," I stated.
"Okay, then let's go," he replied while moving forward.
"Wait, I need to go home first," I said as I stopped him grabbing his arm.
"Why? It is a waste of time," he answered firmly.
"I need to change my clothes first," I hissed. I was wearing a white blouse with a black blazer and pencil skirt matching with pointed-toe black pumps. My hair was on bun and I don't want to look like her secretary while having their family dinner. I want to look like his girlfriend.
He looked at me from head to toe, "You look perfect,"
"In an office attire?" I asked in a touch of sarcasm.
"Yes," He answered and I rolled my eyes.
"But I want to change clothes," I insisted.
"Please...." I pleaded as I pouted my lips. It always works with my Dad when I did that to him. I hope it will work with Timothy too.
"Alright but don't make me wait long. I hate waiting," he sighed. I smiled as I began to walked and tugged him.
We were inside the elevator and it was odd that I feel so comfortable with him. I'm beginning to like his company. Maybe being his girlfriend is not bad at all.
I gazed at him and admired his beautiful features. His mysterious grey eyes are so enticing and his luscious lips made my heart quicken its beats. I want to feel his lips on mine.
Damn! I think I'm physically attracted to him!
"Why are you staring at me?" he asked smugly.
"Nothing. Why? Is it bad to look at you? " I said defensively.
"You're thinking how handsome I am, right?" he chuckled.
"You're so vain Fitzgerald. Well, maybe I am and maybe I'm not, " I chuckled.
