Gabriela's POV

Is it my end?

A series of gunshots answer my question, and the man above me collapsed. I shoved him on my side and Timothy hurried towards me. He wrapped his arms around me as my body trembled.

"I told you to run and hide little tiger and then here you are brawling with that man," Timothy said in a soft voice.

"You know that I can't just run without a fight," I explained as I gazed at his eyes. I felt guilty because he looks really worried.

"I know, that's why I'm here. Can you stand up? We need to move now," He asked in concern. I nodded and he helped e to stand.

"Not so fast!" Arturo roared and shot Timothy on his shoulder. I was barely able to breathe as fear splintered my heart. Timothy pointed his gun at Arturo but before he can pull the trigger, Arturo's men surrounded us with their guns pointed at our heads.

"Kill Fitzgerald!" Arturo ordered, however, the moment I heard it, I quickly jumped in front of Timothy.

"You cannot do that! If you kill him, kill me too!" I cried. Timothy held my hand, trying to tell me something but I can't hear it because of the mixed emotions swirling inside me. Fear, anger and sadness.

Arturo laughed maniacally, "Then you leave me no choice, my dear niece. I have to kill you too."

Fear twisted my gut and my blood ran cold. My heart drummed inside my chest knowing our impending death.

"Kill them!" Arturo commanded.

Timothy grabbed me in a split second and we both tumbled down on the ground. I closed my eyes and cover my ears as I heard the menacing gunshot around me. Timothy was embracing me as he let out a harsh breath. Fear hit me like icy water.

What's happening?! Why there's no bullet coming our way?

The sound of the gunshot stopped and all I can hear was our breathing. I opened my eyes and gazed at Timothy. My tears fell on my cheeks as I see he's alive. We're alive.

"Are you okay little tiger," he asked. I looked at his shoulder and it's bleeding.

"No, I'm the one who needs to ask if you're okay," I replied as I touched his wounded shoulder lightly.

"I'm going to be okay little tiger so don't worry," Timothy reassured. I helped Timothy in standing up and put his arm on my shoulder for support. He said he was okay but I insisted that he needs help.

The men who have surrounded us earlier were all dead including Arturo.

"Are you okay love birds?" A voice interrupted.

I looked where it was coming from and saw Albreach walking towards us.

"Thank you for helping us," I smiled.

"No, you thank him," he said and he pointed the man behind him. It was Reynold, the old bodyguard of Arturo.

"Well, I guess thank you," I replied while furrowing my brows to Reynold.

I stood frozen when he suddenly removed something from his face and revealed his true face. I can't help but cry seeing it was my father.

My father whom I love and I miss so much. The last time I saw him, I was really angry and hurt because he lied to me. But now, the feeling of anger was all gone and replaced with happiness. I'm happy because all of these lies have come to an end.

"Dad, is it really you?" I cried.

"Yes, it is me, Gabriela," he answered. Timothy nodded and he removed his arms on my shoulder. Without a second thought, I ran to Dad and embraced him tightly.
