I blink as my words register in my brain. Shit. I just asked her out. I look at her, seeing her mouth open and close in shock at my words.
I can't believe she's working here at Ruthie's. I thought I wouldn't see her again.

I raise my hand and run a finger down her cheek as she snaps her mouth closed.
"Well, how about it?" I say. What's one date, especially if it gets her in my bed. No easy pussy could even compare to the little beauty in front of me. She looks nervous as she stares up at me, chewing on that sexy little lip.

"I.. I'm sorry. B-But I can't. I don't have a babysitter for my boy.." She says, her voice dropping to a whisper as she drops her head in... Defeat?

I stroke my chin, watching her for a second. "The club is holding a charity event down at the beach on Friday. It's family friendly and it'll be lots of fun. Why don't you come down and we can spend a bit of time together?" I ask, my hands beginning to sweat. I don't do this. Why am I doing this. Holy shit.

Her head raises and she looks at me with those gorgeous blue eyes. "I..I guess.. Ruthie's closing the diner that day anyways.." she says, her voice as sweet as honey. I nods my head and wipe my hands quickly on my jeans. Not giving her a chance to react I bend and kiss her cheek quickly.

"I'll see you there.." I look at her name-tag and smile. "Carly" I say, the name rolling off my tongue as I give her a wink. Forgetting my coffee I leave.

I walk outside and head straight from my bike. I straddle it quickly and start her up, revving her a few times before taking off. I head straight for the clubhouse, wasting no time at all as I speed up. Thank fuck Prez changed the meeting 2 instead of 12.
I think back to my night and shake my head in disgust as I pull onto the marked road to the clubhouse.

I pull up to the clubhouse and climb off my bike, seeing Red leaning against the wall, smoking a cigarette. He must of just got back from his run. The man doesn't speak much, at all. But he's damn good at his job, and not someone you want to meet alone. He's as tall as me at 6ft 4, and his eyes are as black as night. "Sup' Red" I say, clasping his shoulder. He grunts and shakes a smoke from his pack, offering it to me. I nod my head and take it, lighting it up.
"Any troubles on the road?" I ask, watching him as he shakes his head, a creepy grin on his face as he looks at me. "Mm, okay. Come on, let's get this over with before Prez kills us both." I say and he nods. We drop our smokes and stomp them out before heading inside. The Club is full when we get inside as this is our weekly meeting for all club members. The officers will stay behind today and have a closed meeting.

"CHURCH!" bellows Prez, already entering the church room.

We all follow and take out spots. I sit next to Prez on his left as his VP. Jagger sits next to Prez on his right as his Sergeant at Arms, Duke sits next to me as Treasurer, Red sits next to Jagger as Enforcer and Fuzz sits next to him as Road Captain. The rest of the soldiers, all 25 mill around. The higher officers who have proved themselves being able to sit at the table, along with Nelson who has his place as an original.

Prez bangs the gavel. "Right fuckers, let's get down to it. Red had another successful run to the city. Draco has his guns and was more than happy with the quality, He's ordered another lot 3 months from now. Everyone in agreement say 'aye' to supplying another shipment to Draco.

The room erupts in 'aye's.

Prez nods and bangs the gavel again, bringing order. "Now, back to business. Techie came to me this morning with news of Vipers Rejects being in Railey." he says, nodding to Techie to speak up. Techie nods and stands.

"At around 9am this morning 6 Vipers rode through town, circling back 3 times before taking off again. They've not made any direct hits, but invading territory without notifying us is a clear sign of disrespect." He says, sitting down as the brother nods and voice their agreement.

"As he said, no hits as of yet. But I want everyone on high alert for any more Vipers, especially this Friday with the charity event. Last thing the club needs is a shoot up in front of the entire town" Prez says with a growl.

I nod my head in agreement, "We need 2 prospects here on the gate and 1 patrolling the grounds. The rest of us will need to rotate around on surveillance duties on Friday. We don't want to give these bastards the chance to fuck this up." I say, growling at the thought.

The rest nod and Prez slams the gavel down again. He goes through the usual business of profits from each of our legit businesses, such as the the garage, pub, strip club, restaurant, salon and pawn shop. After spending the hour going through each of the profits and listing some more improvements for each business as well as storming ideas for a new business, Prez bangs the gavel. Dismissing the soldiers and Nelson, leaving only the officers remaining.

"Things have been quiet lately boys, and I don't like it. I've got a sinking feeling trouble's on it's way to Railey." he says, tapping his finger on the table. "Be extra alert, anything seems suspicious or off, bring it to the table. Understood?" He asks. After we all nod he slams the gavel down once more. "Dismissed, now get out you stinking fuckers" he says with a grin as we shake our heads at him.

"Fuck you" We all chorus with a laugh as we exit the room. Heading to the bar I look around with a smile. I love this club. The freedom, the loyalty, the brotherhood and the family. It's everything I could ever need. Yet I can't stop thinking about Carly. There's just something about her that's drawing me in, and it's fucking scaring me. I rub a hand down my face and motion for the prospect to get me a beer.

Well, we'll see what happens Friday.

Thank you for reading yet another chapter of Carly's Ride!
I'm sorry that this one was shorter than the rest, but Slash just didn't want to talk anymore.
I think Carly's going to have a lot more to say next though!
