Getting Jay clean and ready for school had to be one of the hardest things this morning. The first being leaving Slash in my room this morning in all his lush, hard, rough... Sexiness. Last night was the for lack of better words, amazing! He made me feel like the most beautiful womathe dirtyn in the world, like I wasn't the broken woman I felt like. He made me forget all the horrible things that had happened to me and the feelings I had seeing Sam again. But now at work without Jay or Slash to keep me occupied, I could feel those feelings rising up again.
"Carly, darlin', could you go and clean up tables 3 and 4 for me?" Ask Ruthie from across the counter as she counts money before putting it back into the til.
"Yes of course!" I say, coming back to my senses. I grab a rag and the cleaning spray and walking over to the tables. I start off by stacking the dirty plates and utensils in a pile in the middle and the spray the table down. The bell on the door chimes, alerting to a new customer arriving. Knowing Ruthie is behind the counter I continuing cleaning.
"Well, if only you were this good at your job when you were at home, things would have been a lot different baby girl," says a voice, sending those familiar shivers down my spine.
I stand straight abrupty, turning around to face the man of my nightmares. Clutching the rag to my chest, I take a shaky step back from Sam. "You need to leave n-now Sam!"
"Now now baby, I'm a customer here, you can't go talking to a customer like that," he says, a creepy smirk on his face.
"No she can't, but I can. Leave now before I call the cops and have you escorted out in cuffs," says Ruthie, standing behind Sam withone arm behind her back, the other one holding up her cell with triple 000 already typed in.
"Can't you see we're talking you old hag?" say Sam, turning to face Ruthie, fists curled at his side.
"She don't wanna talk you disgusting piece of shit. Don't think I don't know it was you that hurt that poor girl. Now, you better be gone before I count to three. One... Two... Thr-"
"Fine, I'll leave" he says, cutting Ruthie off, but not before turning back to me. "I'll see you soon sweetheart, I can't wait to get to know my son" he sneers before stalking out of the diner, slamming the door behind him. Watching him closely, I see him hop into a sleek black sedan before screeching out of the carpark. The car disappears around the corner and my legs finally give out, my knees slamming against the tiled floor as I collapse forward.
"Oh darlin'" I hear before feeling Ruthie's arm come around my shoulder, helping me back up to my shaky feet. "Come in back and sit down, I'll make you a nice cup of tea"
"N-No... I can't! I-I... I have t-to leave!" I say, probably screaming as I gain strength in my legs, spurring me on as I run behind the counter, reaching under to grab my purse. "H-He knows where I am, w-where I work and most likely where Jay goes t-to school! Jay!" I cry, running around the side and to the door. I pull it open hard and run outside to my car, opening it quickly and jumping in. Ripping open my purse I empty the contents onto the passenger seat and snatch my keys, slamming the key into the ignition, turning it on. Forgoing all safety I push the gear stick into reverse and pull out on a screech. Chucking the gear stick into drive I push my foot down on the acceleration and peel out of the street and speeding down the highway towards Jay's daycare.
I arrive to a squealing stop in front of the daycare, ripping on the hand break and jumping out of the car, running into the daycare. I stop in the hall and take a deep breath, realising where I am. Calming my breathing I walk, hurriedly down the hall and into Jay's classroom. "M-Ms Simmons, I need to take Jay early for a doctors appointment," I say with a shaky smile, look at Ms Simmons behind her desk.
"Oh! Hello Carly, I thought you already knew?" She says with a confused smile.
"W-What do you mean?"
"Jay's father picked him up just a few minutes ago?"
As I hear her words my mind goes fuzzy, my breath caught in my throat. He has my son!
I turn and run out of the classroom and down the hall to my car, just as a hoard of bikes pull to a stop beside my car, all of them turning off as I raise my head to see about 10 members of the Broken Knights MC dismantle their bikes, but the only one I notice is Slash as he's already walking towards me. But I can't hear anything he's saying as his mouth moves, a static sound filling my head as tears fall down my face as I break, dropping to the ground in a scream, a scream that pierces my entire soul, making everything go black.
