You Again?

Part 8

I walked back to my room alone, still thinking about that hug... As soon I walked in, I could feel the tension in the air.

I passed Ryusaki and opened the window. As I walked back to my bed, Ryusaki grabbed my arm.

"Do you smoke?" He asked. I gave him a confused look.

"Um... no..Why?" I asked him. He let go finally.

"I thought so..." Ryusaki said and walked back to his seat infront of the TV.

What was going on?

Matt and I talked on Xbox again, sharing laughter while we were playing Co-op mode on Resident Evil 6. It was hard to concentrate when you knew someone was staring at you.

I ignored it as much as I could for the rest of the night. It was only when Matt's roommate was complaining about how loud we were when we went offline.

The next day was a full break day so I called up Matt to see what he was doing.

"Hey Matt, wanna go grab lunch together?" I asked him, looking away from Ryusaki.

"Yeah sure, how about we meet up in the gardens?" He said over the phone. We both agreed to meet up near the picnic tables for lunch.

"I'll see you there then..." I said

"Yeah.. Bye Lizzie" Matt said softly.

"Bye.." I replied in the same tone.

When I turned around, all three of my roommates were staring at me.

"Going on a date, huh?" Mello sniggered.

"No! I'm just having lunch with a friend actually!" I told them quickly as I felt my face grow hot.

"Anyway, I have to go now! Bye!"

As I greeted Matt we shared smiles.

"So what did you get for lunch?" I asked him as I showcased my Ham baguette.

"Oh I got a cheese and bacon panini" He replied while taking his lunch out of the packaging.

"How about we ask each other 10 random questions? Y'know, so we can get to know each other and start conversation" I said after a short silence.

"Sure, I'll start then. What's your favourite colour?" He asked.

" Hmm, I think maybe blue or red.. what about you?" I asked him.

"Um.. Red I guess.." Matt said, stuffing himself with his lunch.

"Okay my turn! This might be a weird question to ask... but how old are you? I never really asked before and I guess I'm just a bit curious."

"I'm 18 years old... to be honest I could leave if I wanted to, but I decided to study a little longer so I know I'm completely ready to get a job." Matt told me with a weak smile.

"Does that mean you'll be leaving soon?" I asked him quietly.

"Maybe. I think I'll be done reassessing myself in January, but I wouldn't be leaving until February, so it's about 6 months from now" He replied.

"You better visit me okay?" I demanded. He laughed as he put his arm around me.

"Of course! I'll visit you on every day I can. We won't even have to worry about staying in contact since we can just play on Xbox together. I have to say, you're good at playing Helena on Resident Evil.." He nudged me playfully.

"Well, you're a perfect Leon!" I giggled.
