Salem State Log, Red Skies, and WMWM

Back in High School for all 4 years I was in Newspaper. The Tradewings was the newspaper at Worcester Tech. I really enjoy it and I could go on about some articles I have writing that I am proud of like my first article that I did on my Biology teacher Mr. Clark. He made a bet with his students if they could pass the MCAS then he will shaved his head and that's what he did so it was fun asking him questions about that. I have done an article about Safe Homes and HOPE. Both with the help of Said, my boyfriend at the time. We did some articles together. I am also proud of my article on Sam Berns. He had progeria which is a disease that when you are born you look old and have the same kind of problems that old people get. Unfortunately he had died at the time of me writing this article and when I found out it was sad. He came from Massachusetts like us and he wanted to go to WPI for college. Said said "I could have met him" because at the time that was where he wanted to go to. At the time of Sam's death he was 16 which is older then most people lived to be when they have progeria. Every year Worcester Tech would have a motivational speaker to talk to us. On our last year it was Liz Murray. She was the girl who went homeless and then go to Harvard University. She wrote a book that was turned into a movie. I was so excited I get to actually meet her because that year I had to interview her for the paper. Said interviewed her with me. 

When I came to Salem state I was hoping I'll get to be on their newspaper because I enjoy it when I was in high school. The Newspaper here is call "The Log." I did try but I didn't know what to do and at some time they were making the switched to being Online instead of hard copy newspapers which I think is stupid. I prefer hard copies. I am old fashion when it comes to that. After a few times I gave up. I also tried to be a part of Red Skies with Rachel which is the magazine here but that didn't work out either. Now I am trying to be a part of Radio and have my own Radio show for my last year. Hopefully that will work out. I didn't go last Monday but I will make sure I will go next Monday and get certified to be a DJ. Maybe when I am I can also help DJ the dances for Safe Homes. 

Fun Fact the Newspaper old room is now the SGA office.
