MASSPIRG is a student run organization on campus that deal with campaigns such as Hunger and Homeless, 100% Renewable Clean energy, Stop the Overuse of Antibiotics, Textbooks, Save the Bees, New Voters Project, Dunks campaign, and ban the bottle. I have been involved with MASSPIRG since my first semester here starting with Hunger and Homeless campaign (My favorite campaign) and add on a different campaign every semester until I have been involved with all of them and I am still involved with them now for my last year at Salem state. I tried to get an internship with them because they offered that so I can be more then just a volunteer but for some reason I never felt like an intern. There are retreats I went for both semesters for 2 years. I didn't hear about them last year and this semester I can't because of the stupid SGA retreat I have to go on because I am part of SGA.
If you are a student at Salem state I recommend you join this organization because it is more then a club. You can actually make a difference in your community and make a change. Hopefully after I graduate I can come back as a campus organizer because I love working on these issues and I want to keep working on them. These are important.
