When you are in college you should do Study Abroad. It's a great opportunity to travel and learn a new language and meet new people. I wanted to do study abroad with Rachel and we was going through the steps we need to do to do that so we can go to Quebec this summer. When I was being interviewed by my French professor she told me I shouldn't go with Study abroad because this program I would be expected to only speak French and not English and I have had a hard time learning French over the past year. So I was upset and felt like I could never do study abroad at all since I am finishing my third year and I have one more to go. But luckily my mom said she and my dad will get their Passport Card so we can plan a vacation there. We plan to be there during the first week Rachel will be there.
We only spent three days there and I saw Rachel for a few hours. It was better then something and I did have a good time even though my parents were fighting making it as bad as our Washington DC vacation. I hope I get to go back to see more.
If you have the opportunity to travel while you are in college either it is a study abroad program with the school or a family trip, I suggest you take it. I'm glad I went. Makes me think about wanting to move up there, away from the craziness of this country. I told Emma that we could take a bus up there so we might make a trip next year since we will hopefully be living together. She'll need to get a passport card. I think she also need to get an ID if she doesn't have one because next year she will be 20 and she will be able to drink in Canada because the legal age is 18. But if that doesn't happen that I hope I make another trip with my parents but this time to Montriel because I didn't have a chance to go there at all.
Rachel will be in Quebec for a month this summer. Practicing her French on the locals and seeing more then I saw when I was only there for a couple of days.
