I think Program councilor put this on but every year in February there is this Winter Ball every year at the Hawthorn Hotel. I actually went my first year when I first heard about it. There was suppose to be a shutter that would come at a certain time at the O'keefe bus stop back when it used to stop there. I had Mcdonals since it's on the street in case there will be food there I won't eat and I waited for the stupid shutter. A shutter came so I went on but by my surprise we went to Bates. I was confused and I never went up to south campus before. I was freaking out and got off the shutter and went inside and asked about it. Then luckily a student run shutter came and I went in and they took me to the Hawthorn's Hotel for the Winter Ball. That was quite an adventure. I went inside looking nice. I took my seat. Luckily there was someone who I knew from MASSPIRG there and she invited me to sit with her and her fiancee. So I did and it was nice that I was talking to someone. Of course I didn't like the food except for the dessert. I went on the dance floor with my friend and her fiance and danced. I did have a good time but I decided not to go to that dance again because of the trouble I was having getting there and I didn't like the food. We took the 11:00 shutter back to the dorm and I went to bed.
If I would want to go again it would be either with Rachel or if someone asked me to go with him. But if you are interested in going and you are a Salem State student then be my guest.
