*Brooke's P.O.V*

After 10 minutes of looking through the mountains of boxes that had been stored in my attic pretty much since we moved here; we finally found a box full of old photo albums and pictures that I haven't seen in literally years. We found a few more pictures of me and Jacob together. One with us on our tricycles, one with us in the bathtub together when we were only a year old. "Aaawwwww look at you guys!!." Nikki squealed, looking over my shoulder. "Oh hush up Nikki." I said. "Girl please I see you blushin' over there." Nikki said. Instead of replying sarcasticly like I would normally do, I decided not to say any thing to her. Next were pictures from the Halloween our moms thought it would be cute if they dressed us up as a mini Micheal Jachson and Whitney Houston.

I remember that Halloween because my mom was having a Halloween party that night and WE were the entertainment. Mom made us a little stage in the living room for us to perform on, we stood on it and tried to sing along to all the Micheal Jackson, Jackson 5 and Whitney Houston songs they could play before we had to go to bed. "Hey, look it's a picture of me and my friend Trey." I said moving over towards Nikki to show her the picture. In the picture it showed Trey and I on my 5th birthday making silly faces at the camera. You could say we were definately a pair of goof balls. I laughed remembering all the fun and silly times I had with him. I found some other pictures of us together, some from when I had my 5th birthday pool party, we had a crazy fun time playing marco polo....well a kiddies version at most.

Then I found some from our first grade play. We were doing Cinderella. I was Cinderella and Trey was playing Prince Charming. I remembered all the days we spent rehearsing our lines as if we were REAL actors. We rehearsed that entire play everyday after school up to the opening day, even the  scenes that we didn't have with each other. "Who's this? is it Trey?" Nikki said taking my attention away from the photographs in my hand. Nikki was holding a stack of old photos but the one she was looking at wasn't one with me and Trey. It was a picture of me and my friend Craig; between us was a giant teddy bear he won at the state fair. Craig and I were super close, he was always so sweet to me. I remember when we went to the fair, we were there pretty much all day going on every ride imaginable.....well you know the ones we could get on; I've always been pretty short so i couldn't go on every rollercoaster.  I knew I couldn't go on some so it was fine for me but even when I insisted Craig refused to go on the ride without me. He was never that thrilled about the thought of going on one of those really big rollercoasters anyways. so that made me feel a little better for letting him miss out on the opportunity when it came up. We played every  carnival game the fair had to offer but at each one I failed to get the one prize that I really wanted a giant stuffed animal.

So when we played a ring toss game and Craig won, he could have gotten any prize he wanted, so when I saw him walking back over to me with that giant fluffy brown teddy bear that he handed to me I was beyond excited about it. When I asked him why he gave me his prize all he said was that he didn't want to see me upset. I still have that giant bear in my room, I named him Reeses since that was Craig's favorite candy plus it has a few patches of light brown fur that resembled the color of peanut butter. I smirked at myself remembering all the good times we had."OH MY GOD." Nikki exclaimed. I turned to her with a worried look. "What's wrong?" I asked. " It's Ray Ray!!" she squealed. "Wait, woah, woah, woah, how do you know Ray?" she asked. I looked at her as if she had gone mental. "It's no big deal I used to live down the street from him. He and I were pretty close back then. We used to skateboard in his drive way, I have to admit I was a bit of a tomboy back then ok you got me I'm STILL a bit of a tomboy but I have my moments.

I remembered when we played video games and how I would beat him even though sometimes I was completely lost. I would always play in his hair even though he hated that but he never seemed to mind when it was me or his mom or mine but anyone else he would have fussed about them going in his hair. I could even remember the times we sat in his backyard drawing everything we saw.  I slid my back against the attic wall, I sat there on the floor looked from one picture to the other of me and my old friends. Water started building up in my eyes, my vision instantly started to get blurry from the tears. I took one last look at each of the pictures before my vision was completely blinded by my tears. I slowly closed my eyes letting a single tear escape the corner of my eye. "Oh come on now don't cry Brooke, don't cry." Nikki said, kneeling down on the floor to embrace me in a warm bear hug. I cried my eyes out and with each tear the pain never seemed to get any better................
