Chapter 48: Girls Night!

*Brooke's P.O.V*

After my "near death experience" on the set, the director suggested that I take a week off for rest and then the following week we would continue filming the episode. I didn't argue with taking some time off because I wasn't sure if I could have stepped back on that set for at least a few days. I laid in bed, curled up under the sheets, Nikki was out shopping with Ray so I had the room to myself, that is until I heard a knock at the door. "Hey, still don't wanna leave your bed?" Prodigy asked as he entered the room.  If it wasn't already obvious I wasn't about to leave my room, I sighed "No, can't I'll just stay in bed forever, where it's safe?" I whined. He then laid down next to me in bed, pulling the sheet off my head.

"You have to leave the room at some point, everything will be fine I promise as long as I'm around I won't let anything happen to you." I thought about his words very carefully before I answered knowing that he was good at tricking me in situations like this. I reluctanly stayed silent for a few more seconds. "Fine," he said, "I'll just stay with you until you do." I suddenly gave him a strange look. "What do you mean? you don't have to do that." I asked, and then I realized the look Craig had as he looked me straight in the eyes; "Yes I do." He replied in a very serious tone, simply putting his arm around me and letting me bury my face in his chest as a few tears began threatening to fall. The truth was that I was more scared than anyone had realized - or so I thought - I put on a brave face only because I didn't want them to worry about me, but he always knew me better than that. He see right through me, I've always been an open book to him. I'm starting to think he knows me better than I do.

After a while we ere just laying there, in the silence, not wanting to say anything in peticular. "I wonder if that Hershey's Cookie and Cream chocolate bar is still outside?" Craig asked outloud to himself. I wasn't sure why he said it but he knew how much I loved white chocolate, so something told me he was trying to get me back to my old self and out of bed. I can't belive that his plan was actually working  on me though. The thought of there being a Hersey's bar in the suite that RAY might find scared me; if there is one thing I've always known, it's NEVER mess with Ray when it comes to Hersey's chocolate bars, lets just say, it may not turn out so well. Last time you would have thought a run away zoo ran through the house. If he finds it there is no doubt in my mind that he WILL eat it. The temptation was getting to me, more so because I hadn't eatten anything today. Note to self; before attempting to hibernate in your room till the end of time........BRING FOOD. "So......about this chocolate bar......can I have it?" I asked in my sweetest voice, batting my eye lashing in hopes of winning him over. "I'm not looking at your eyes, if I do I know I'll give to you." A smirk quickly formed on my lips as he said that. He had his eyes closed so there is no way I could use my puppy dog eyes on him. It wasn't long until I had another move up my sleeve. I wrapped my arms around his neck and pulled his cheek close to mine. "Please." I whispered, softly into his ear, begged for him to give up. "Maybe." He replied, still with his eyes closed. A small smile creeped up on my lips where a smirk once was. I contiuned begging and the answer continued to be "maybe".

While I continued to beg and he continued to ignore me to an extent, I suddenly noticed that our hands were interwined, I hadn't even noticed when he put his hand in my. I smiled at our hands, it felt well....kind of right, it's hard to explain how right it felt but it felt natural, as if it were second nature. "You know what I'm not even going to listen to your voice anymore it's far too appealing to me." I laughed and laid my head against his chest again, hearing his heart beat. At this point I was thoroughly amazed that I hadn't already just gotten up to get it. "Well you said maybe and if I don't get up now we'll have this argument all day and by that time Ray would've found that chocolate. I stuck my tongue out even though he couldn't see me do it. I slowly pulled my hand away from his and made a mad dash for the his room. He pulled me back into hiim by my wasit but I was able to wiggle out of his grip. I ran into his room and closed the door behind me. If I knew this guy as well as I think and I do. He had that candy hidden in the mini fridge.

I seem to have underestimate Craig because before I even got to the door I was suddenly pulled away and lifted off my feet. "Hey! put me down." I demanded. I was now being carried bridel style away from his room and back to my own. "Hhhmm......I'll put you down on one condition, if you agree to go to Madison's slumber party tonight, you need to stop moping and get out of that bed." "Ok, ok." I said with a laugh "You win, you win I'll go now let me down. GENTLY"..................................................................

..................................................................."And that girls, is how I ended up here." I looked at the girls, who were listening attentively at my story. Madison, Torri, who is Madison's co-star on their show and Nikki all curled up on the floor in front of me in their Pj's. Each of the girls gave me a curious look and then giving each other the same looks in return. "What?" I asked, giving them a questioning look and a small smile. "Girls, are you thinking what I'm thinking?" Madison said smiling from ear to ear. I could hear the excitment in her voice, I wasn't sure if I should be excited too ....or scared. "Someone wanna tell me why all of you are looking at me like that?" I saw the devious look in Nikki's eyes and started to worry. This is starting out to be an interesting slumber party...........................................................................................................
