Chapter 24: The Camping Trip

*Nikki's P.O.V* 

Roc had this big idea about us all going camping in the woods........yeah......NO.....not me; no thanks I'll be just fine in civilization where there is indoor plumbing and electricity. Two things of which I've become very comfortable with. I certainly don't want to trade them in for what? a bush and flashlights? yeah you have to be kidding me right?! What do they find so intresting about being in the woods anyways? for all they know they could be eatten by a bear or something. Outdoorsie kind of stuff......yeah that's just not me;  Brooke will be fine out there with Roc and the guys for the night. Since they can always come back to the hotel when they're ready it's not much a problem for Keisha of course but other than that their still in the woods.

Ray insisted that he stay here and keep me company. Isn't he just the sweetest? Honestly when I think about it now none of the guys except for Roc seem like the outdoors type. Prodigy........he's just real chilled and laid back so I guess he's good anywhere and besides he's taking his iPod with him so he will survive no doubt about that. Princeton...........even though he says he's a hippie I'm sure even they had R.Vs to sleeping with proper plumbing so regardless he just doesn't seem to be that......."in turned with nature" like Brooke.

 I think there is an obvious reason why he's tagging along with them; then there's Ray. He seems like he just want's to skateboard in the woods and cause trouble out there in the wilderness but he said he wants to keep me company, and believe me I tried talking him out of it saying that I was gonna make him do my nails and my hair and stuff that Brooke and I nromally do at our sleepovers but he just doesn't seem to want to go. To think I thought I had him with I told we were gonna watch the Gossip Girl Marathon. He hesitated at first but he still complied with my requests. It's not like I don't want to hang out with him it's just that  I feel like I'm the reason he's not gonna get to have fun with Brooke and the guys................Oh who and I kinding I AM the reason................

 *Brooke's P.O.V*

Since the storm passed and it seemed to be safe enough to travel again but Keisha said we should stay an extra night in the hotel just to be sure. With everything that's been going on I'm sure none of us even realized that we were supposed to leave for Philly tomorrow. Well all of us except Craig that is. I still wasn't sure how I was gonna cheer him up even thought we're leaving tomorrow and most likey that alone would cheer him up. You'd think he would be more excited but the thing is he HATES travelling by plane. I don't blame him with the many things that could go wrong with a plane or even if it's just simple turbulance.

I'm glad Keisha agreed to let us camp out, it will give me and the guys some time to reconnect since we haven't done much time for any of that.....well most of the guys at least Ray said he was gonna stay back at the hotel with Nikki, I'm hoping that they won't do anything that they'll regret during our absence...........

I think Ray just didn't want to hear anymore teasing from Prince and Roc about Nikki, I wouldn't blame him. Why those boys loved to tease one another so much was something I could never explain much less understand myself. I walked back to the campsite with a couple things for the guys. Roc emerged from the woods; his muscules flexed with the large branches he carried in this arms.  He carefully placed them down near the fire, with the help of Prince we found some old logs that we - mostly the guys-  took back to the campsite, around where we planned on putting the fire later so now it was actually starting to look like a campsite. It brought back some really good memories of camping trips I went on when I was a kid..........

"Here Jake I thought you might want this since ....you know we're gonna be in the woods for the night. I said handing him a portable DVD player with all his favourite movies. All Tim Burton he hasn't changed a bit since we were kids.......well except his hair got bigger. "Yes!! Tim Burton!!" He wrapped his arms around me and spun me around in his arms. "Aww you're welcome Jake I thought that just because we were gonna be in the woods for the night that doesn't me that we can't have a few luxuries." I said giggling. He finally stopped spining and placed me back on my own two feet, and just in time too I was getting really dizzy. Jake drapped his arm over my shoulder and I glanced over to see Prodigy coming out of the tent.

"Craig, I hold behind my back something that I'm sure you didn't mean to leave up in the room but it's still sweet of you to try to be all outdoorsie. He looked a bit lost for a second but them immediately understood and grabbed me away from my previous position under Jacob's arm and pulled me into an embrace for himself, my hands we still behind me back, I could see a smile spreading across his face.He left one of his arms still wrapped around me with the other arm extended behind me to get my surprize for him from out of my grasp. He smiled widely pulling his iPod from my hand. I laughed "Ok, ok you win." "Thanx B." He said kissing my cheek. Was it me or where my cheeks getting red?

I turned on my heels, now facing Trey with my slightly pink cheeks which I really hoped no one noticed. He took a seat on the log, pulling me down next to him by my waist "Whatcha bring for me Trixie?" I pouted "So my presence isn't enough for you?" I batted my eyelashes. "Always Trix I love having you around."  I smiled gleefully at his comment. "Smart boy you choose the right answer." I smirked and nodded "Anyways I got you some Twix and you know it's my fave too so if you answered wrong I would have eatten it just so you know." I said sticking my tongue out at him. "And don't worry guys I didn't forget; Jake I got you some M&Ms which if you haven't forgotten we always share with a bag of skittles" I said showing him a big bag of skittles.  

"Craig I know it's you favourite so I got you some Reeses peanut butter cups." I handed him the packs of Reeses. They all looked at me strangely. "What?" I asked "Didn't you get anything?" asked Craig. I laughed "For me I got some Skittles, M&Ms, two Hershey's chocolate bars and a Twix." The boys stared at me in surprize. "What? a girl can't have a sweet tooth? and besides Nik and Ray aren't here so I'm just taking up their share on their behalf." I said innocently. "Maybe I should just call you Candy instead of Trixie."  said Roc, the others nodded in agreement.

I just simply rolled my eyes and retired to the tent for the a while. Just before I zipped up the tent I poked my head out "Oh yeah, Jake I have Burrito and I'm holding him for ransom." I said sticking my tongue out at him. He laughed and ran over to my tent and diving in after me. I let out bursts of laughter as the other guys joined in on a full on tickle attack on me. Holding me down so I couldn't move and with all the tickling I could hardly breath, my stomach hurt so much it was one of those times when you're laughing and you get a six pack.

I wonder what other fun we'll have later on??..................3 guys, 1 girl in the woods....alone for the night?!....anything could happen right?...........................
