MY GRANDMOTHER STARED AT ME WITH HER ARMS CROSSED. She was very intimidating when she was mad. "Talk," She muttered. "I find you home in a dumbazz cast from Mount Olympus, what the frig?"
I gulped. She clearly knew I went on an adventure, but how much did she know? "Well...I helped Chase escape the Sun God Apollo, and met my father Poseidon along the way, and we saved Zeus,"
My Grandmother looked down. She knew what I meant. "Yeah, I met Apollo before, what a nasty frigger he was. It was last Christmas Eve, Vivien and I sent him away, but with Vivien's death, he took advantage knowing that in my age I wouldn't stand up to him,"
I sat comfortably on my bed, I knew this was going to be intense. I decided to start giving some answers. "I am sorry I left without telling you, Chase was in big trouble, he needed my help. It was really important that I was there with him,"
My Grandmother made a faint smile. "Frig that, Vivien Grace called me, she's back to her old self. She's having a party for Chase to make up for the one that was ruined. We are both invited, so get ready, it's starts in an hour, I am tired of sitting in this friggin' house all day long," She left my room and I heard her walk downstairs. Our family house was on the larger side; it was nothing compared to Chase's mansion though. My room had a balcony like Chase's, I decided maybe I should get some fresh air. I hobbled over to my balcony doors and sat on a cozy chair that was set up. The sling on my arm was bothering me but I tried to pretend it wasn't there. I gazed out into the distance, it didn't seem the same as it was before I knew the existence of gods. It was almost as if, the horizon itself was a Mist trick. It felt surprisingly soothing to be able to just sit for a while. I opened my computer and continued working on a drawing of myself. I was able to come up with a design and painted it using Photoshop:
"Nice job on that drawing," A voice laughed. I looked to my right and nearly jumped when I saw Poseidon sitting next to me. "Oh, sorry, I didn't mean to scare you Blake,"
I took a deep breath. "Thanks...Dad,"
He smiled. I could see inner love within Poseidon, he could be moody when he wanted to be, but like the calm side of the sea, he could also be gentle. "When are you going to finish your book?"
"Seriously? You Gods can read?"
Poseidon let out a deep laugh. "Of course, we read all the time. It's entertaining to see what you Mortals are thinking,"
I paused. "It should be done by September, it's a good horror story,"
"Oh yeah? What's it about?"
I smirked. "A psycho killer, but the best part is that Chase and I are both in it...it's great,"
"I'll be sure to get it. How are you recovering from your journey?"
I shrugged. "Apollo's magic hurt like heck, but I think I will be OK, this sling is a real b,"
The Sea God just laughed. "Good, you must know something, this evil Megan unleashed, is far from being over, I wanted to tell you in private,"
I felt a shiver overtake my body. "What do you mean?"
Poseidon gazed out into the distance. "Zeus is getting paranoid, shortly after the session with Chase ended, he called for an emergency council meeting, Hades my brother, came up from the Underworld reporting that souls are running amok and that Megan caused some kind of disturbance that weakened the barriers of the Underworld,"
"She's trying to release something," I concluded. "We have less time than we thought,"
Poseidon nodded. "Indeed, the Titans were only the start, seeing that failed, she is trying a different approach I presume,"
