IT WAS KIND OF WEIRD HAVING MY MOTHER IN THE SAME BODY AS MY STEPMOTHER. Hera was not someone I wanted on my extended family list. I mean come on; she hates all of my dad's kids. Well now she couldn't hate me. She must have hated having Vivien inside of her body. Zeus had Blake, and Bethany rushed to the Olympian Infirmary prior to my return. Andromeda had recovered from our encounter with Megan and returned to the Grace Manor with Grayson shortly before my arrival. As for my injuries, I was back to my normal self in no time. It felt good to be myself again, no more baldness, no more Sun tattoos. Just regular old me.
The rest of us waited silently for what Zeus would say next. "You know that damned Bethany is a real strong bitch," Hera groaned.
"Oh do shut up sister!" Demeter growled. "Zeus is really going to punish you, wait till he's done with Apollo,"
I rolled my eyes; I wasn't in the mood to hear the sisters go at it with each other. Demeter reminded me of my honors Biology teacher, or maybe...she was my honors Biology teacher. Needless to say, Demeter looked like someone you did not want to piss off, even on a good day. I walked away from their bickering and towards the male gods. Zeus was talking to someone with a trident. I recognized Poseidon, Blake was standing next to his father but did not speak to me. He sat down over by the thrones silently.
"No! I will not form a hurricane in Texas! I don't have time to listen to another one of your children's issues! My son was hurt by that stupid musical flirty no good godly brat—!"
"Poseidon,"
"Zeus," He replied.
"Go back to Atlantea if you don't want to take part in the current issue,"
I cringed. "Dad,"
Zeus immediately turned around. He crinkled a smile and motioned for me to come forth. "What Apollo did to you was wrong, and I cannot express how sorry I am for allowing him to cause this pain to you. However, you know I cannot do anything,"
I gulped. "Why not?"
The Lightning God frowned. "Chase, by Olympian Law I can only punish Apollo if he killed you, or one of your friends. Therefore, as much as I'd like to interfere; I can't,"
I sighed. After getting the crap kicked out of me by a Sun God, I should have been lucky to be alive. "What can you do?"
A smile formed on Zeus's face. "I have something for you, you may come in now!"
The throne room doors opened. A young woman and man walked in. I gasped as I realized who they were. "Zoe! Aaron!"
Zoe ran up to me and threw her arms around me. "Oh Chase, we're sorry!"
Aaron smiled. His face was slightly red, but was no longer charred like it had back at the hotel. "I'm really sorry buddy, really, I mean that," I laughed it off and gave him a hug. It was funny how death seemed to reverse things, I went from disliking Zoe and Aaron to appreciating them more. No scratch that, I still hate Zoe. "I actually wanted to ask you something,"
I stopped and looked at Aaron. "And that is?"
A smirk formed on his face. "I did some research on Grace Memorial Preparatory School, and I gotta say its test scores are insane, like seriously, how do I enroll?"
I shook my head. "Go ask my Mom after the meeting, I'm sure she'll give you some details,"
He winked. "I'll be sure to take you up on that,"
The sound of thunder cut us both off, I turned and looked as Zeus stood up from his crackling throne, by his expression he did not look happy. "Olympians! Come forth!" The rest of the goddess parade marched in like they missed a One Direction concert. A tall blonde-haired goddess with perfectly straight hair sauntered in the throne room in a pink Southern Belle style dress. In her hand was a pink Asian style fan which she used to fan the small beads of sweat off herself.
