Hey, guys! I'm back at it again with another chapter of my favorite fanfiction! Anyway I'm super excited to get this one started. I'm kinda sad I didn't really get many views on the first chapter, but that's okay, seen as this fanfiction is new, and I'm new to Wattpad, but I'm still hopeful! Anyway, here we go!

"Potions first," said Arthur as he threw on his new black robe with green and silver markings in many places after they had made their way back to their dormitories from breakfast. He had tried to comb his hair to be somewhat neat, but everything still stuck up everywhere.

"Yup! I don't know if I'll be any good at it though. It sounds like it's hard," Shelly went from elated to worried in a matter of seconds.

She and Arthur left the common room and was out in the dark halls of the dungeons. They weren't exactly sure how to get to their class, so a group of thirds years volunteered to help them on their way. The potions class was not at all far from the Slytherin dormitories, and the two arrived ten minutes before class started. Even though they could choose whatever seat they fancied, Shelly sat next to another Slytherin girl "just because she didn't want anyone thinking that we were dating or anything. Arthur just rolled his eyes and took his seat in the middle of the classroom.

As the last kids shuffled in, a woman with smokey eyes stood up in front and Arthur decided that it would be their potions teacher. She introduced herself and began to tell us about all the materials they should have. Just then, Alfred burst through the door breathlessly and sat in the seat right next to Arthur, seen as it was the only one left.

"You're late, Mr...."

"Jones," Alfred said, still trying to catch his breath.

"You're late, Mr. Jones." the teacher was disappointed in him.

"Sorry, I slept in kinda late and then my friend couldn't find his class, so I tried to help him find it, and then my foot got caught on-"

"Yes, yes, Mr. Jones. Just get everything you need out," she said, annoyed.

Alfred did as he was told and soon he was listening attentively. Arthur couldn't help but notice that the boy's shoes were untied, and his red and golden tie was folded in an odd manner that made it quite apparent that he didn't know how to fold it correctly. He sighed and shook his head as he diverted his attention to the teacher easily.

She explained that they would be making a Cure for Boils. Arthur turned to the page in his book and thought that it looked fairly easy. Since he was right next to him, he'd have to do it with Alfred. He hoped that he wasn't too clumsy. Arthur asked the other boy if he understood the directions but he replied with, "These words are too small, I can't- can't understand what it's saying. It's all too blurry,"

Arthur sighed. "Do you need glasses?"

"No! Everyone says that! I ain't gonna put no glasses anywhere near my eyeballs!" he said in a very immature voice as he crossed his arms defiantly.

Arthur sighed again and rolled his eyes. "You definitely need glasses. Anyway, I'll just read them allowed as they come. Step one: Add 6 to the mortar."

The two took turns putting all of them together and began crushing them with a mallet. It took them about five minutes, but soon, it was a fine powder-like substance. Soon they put four sets of their mixture into the cauldron. All of this was Arthur telling Alfred how to do it, and them following instructions. Several times, Alfred failed to estimate which way they should mix the potion, but luckily, Arthur would roll his eyes and put them back on the right track. Soon, he raised his thick eyebrows as pink smoke came from the cauldron.
