Let's change this story up a bit, shall we?

"Matthew!" Alfred shouted as he ran as fast as he could to the quidditch stadium. The snow made the path difficult to maneuver, but soon he reached it. He was out of breath when he made it to the stadium, and on the bleachers on the west side was the 12 year old, hanging out with some of his Hufflepuff friends.

Alfred shouted his name again and Matthew looked back at him. He noticed how serious his brother looked, so he came down from his perch on the bleachers.

"Al, what's wrong?" The boy asked.

Alfred grabbed the Hufflepuff's shoulders and pulled him into a tight hug. "I'm leaving. I'm leaving Hogwarts and I want you to come with me," he said.

Matthew's eyes grew wide in shock, "You're leaving?! Where to? You can't just leave out of the blue like this you still have two years left."

"I know it sounds crazy, and it is, but Arthur made a good point. We're not learning anything useful and he wants some excitement. Honestly, I do too. It would be fun, being on the run. Maybe cause a little mayhem. What do you say?" he asked the boy.

Matthew hesitated for a few moments as he considered the possibility. It was an appealing offer. Slowly, he drew out of the hug. "Alfred I would love to but," he looked back at his friends, and then at his brother again, "I can't leave this place. I can't leave my friends. I'm so happy here. I don't want to go. If I could stay here for the rest of my life, I would."

Alfred's head dropped, "I understand. You and I have different goals. Well, I'm leaving tomorrow."

"TOMORROW!? Al, are you insane?!"

The 15 year old chuckled. "A little bit, yeah."

The two of them stood in silence, the younger taking in what his big brother had just said. "Come visit some time?" he asked, innocently.

Alfred smiled, "Of course. And during the summer, Arthur and I can come down to America to visit you and Mom."

Matthew nodded and smiled sadly. He then ran into Alfred's arms and began to tear up, "Be safe," he said.

"I'll try," said Alfred, closing his tear-stained eyes and hugging his brother tightly. "I love you so much."

"I love you too."

It was the next morning, around 2:00 am. Alfred had talked to Feliciano and Ludwig, as well as Matthias and Gilbert. In the end, the group ended up being Alfred, Arthur, Shelly, Matthias, Gilbert, Vlad, Lukas, and even Elizabeta decided to tag along, though nobody knew why. The eight of them were ready to go, and they had their plan.

The headmaster was no dumbass. They had all sorts of precautions set in place in case anyone tried to escape. There was no way they could use broomsticks, and none of them had learned how to apparate yet, so they came up with a plan.

The groundskeeper had a key to the gate that usually only opened during certain times. However, the figured if they could steal the keys, and open the gate, they could be out without being detected. But the first challenge would be getting the key. They had tried using Accio, but that didn't work, as expected.

The groundskeeper lived in a hut that used to belong to the legendary Hagrid, a half giant who helped the beloved Harry Potter so many years ago. But this groundskeeper was a woman named Dayhalai. She was feared by every student and was extremely talented in martial arts. She was not to be messed with. They kept this in mind as they formed their escape.
