I've been looking at the previous parts of this fanfiction and I noticed the difference in my begging and ending a/n's. I mean, before, I had long detailed summary's and now I hardly even talk about the actual chapter itself. They're super short now, too. Though I don't mind at all. Do you?

Hey remember my last a/n that I published where I said I had lost inspiration? Well guess what? My inspiration is back! Yay!

Whelp, let's get into it.

(Alfred's POV)

"Hey, cutie," I wink at Arthur as we walk to breakfast the next morning. We're both super excited for the Yule Ball, or at least I am.

"Hey, wanker," Artie rolls his eyes. He's so cute when he does that!

"Don't be salty! I'm your date after all,"

"Yeah, so I don't have to worry about being nice anymore since I know I'll be yours anyway," he responds.

"Hey, stop being smart!" I whine as we make our way into the Great Hall.

"No can do," he says, "See you later."

As he walks away I hear a small, "Idiot."

I just send him off with a wave and a smile and sit myself down at the Gryffindor table next to Landon. He notices my happy mood (even though I'm usually happy) and decides to investigate.

"What's got you elated today?" he nudges my arm, "Got a date to the Yule Ball? Who's the lucky girl? I know they're all coming for you."

"I actually do have a date. And you?"

"Yeah, I'm going with Alice. The third year," he explained, pointing and winking at a brunett  girl with her hair tied up in a ponytail. She bites her bottom lip and winks back, giggling.

"Nice," I say, proud of my friend.

"I still want to know who you're going with! Is it Jennie? She's a catch. Though a bit moody sometimes," he suggests. "Sakura's nice too-"

"No, no. It's not any of them. Actually," I hesitate.

"Actually what? Come on, I wanna know!" he pouts. He usually isn't this whiny or pushy, but he's always been one for romance.

"I'm not going with a girl," I say.

"I thought you said you had a date," he says, not comprehending. He obviously doesn't realize what I'm about to say.

"I do. I'm going with a guy,"

Silence. Then he lifts his gaze up to meet my eyes and frowns, his brows furrowed.

"Alfred, you're gay?" he questions, suddenly sounding very serious.

"Uhh, I guess. I hadn't thought about it. Honestly I don't care about gender," I say.

He turns away, as if shamefully. He doesn't smile. He doesn't laugh. He just seems confused and a little offended. He then brings his eyes back up to meet mine.

"Sorry. I just, I don't know. I-" he begins, but takes awhile to say it, "I can't really support you. I'm not really for gays. I've always been taught that girls belong with guys and that's that. And I'm sticking to that. Sorry Alfred. You're alone on this one."

Those words break my heart. My good friend, turning away from me? Is he really homophobic?

"W-what?" If I were any younger, I'd be bawling by now.
