I keep my promises. I said there'd be a part two and here it is. This is gonna be fun!!!

"You're going to give yourself a heart attack," Arthur reprimands me.

"I'll be fine." I say with my mouth full of chocolate.

He grabs a brownie off of my plate stacked high with sweets. He takes a bite and I saver his face.

I swallow before asking, "Ligit?"

His eyes widen and he smiles a chocolaty, toothy smile. He never opens his mouth when he's eating. "Ligit!" comes his muffled cry as he grabs another. He's so cute!

(Honest to God this is by far my favorite thing of any entire thing I've ever read)

His blond, sandy hair is messy as always, and I guess he just couldn't keep it down. Just like my cowlick. His green eyes are sparkling and his cheek just looks so kissable as it got fat with sweets.

I laugh. He's so cute! For a second I forget that he's fourteen since he looks more like he's seven right now. Damn him and his small older-than-me-ness. Only by... wait, I forgot his birthday again! Mine is so easy to remember since it's Fourth Of July, but I can't seem to ever remember his. I know it's in the spring because every time we hang out on his birthday it is. But I can't remember much more.

"What are you trying to figure out?" he asks me.

"Huh?"

"You're making that face again."

"What face?"

"You cross your eyes when you're thinking, wanker." he giggles.

"I do?"

"Yes!"

"Oh," I simply say.

He's so happy. Why is that? He's never this happy. He's always so cold and mean to everyone. Maybe the Yule Ball cheered him up.

"I forgot when your birthday was again." I admit.

He rolls his eyes and replies, "April 23, idiot! Why can't you ever remember? I've had three of them since we first met!"

"Sorry, babe."

Huh? Babe? Did I just- Oh no no no this is way too sappy.

His face turns instantly pink which quickly turns into a deep shade of red. I might be blushing a bit, too.

"Whatever, Wanker," he unsuccessfully attempts to hide the coloring on his cheeks and ears.

He's so cute!

I turn back around to watch the dancing and laughing around him. Couples, friend groups, lonely kids, all of the above and more. It is a dazzling sight, but none as beautiful as the boy sitting right next to me.

I wonder what's on his mind. He didn't say anything after I kissed him. Is that a good sign or a bad sign. Should I not have kissed him? What if I was too forward? Maybe he doesn't actually like me. Maybe the Slytherin inside him is telling him to deceive me the way he did Shelly.

It's almost painful remembering when he rejected the poor girl, when we were just 12. I'm afraid that  it might happen to him as well. Maybe I'm thinking pessimistically, but if he does, it wouldn't be out of character.

But no. Arthur would never do that to me. Right?

3RD PERSON POV

As the hour got later, slow songs were now out the window, and fun songs were now playing. There was a line where people could submit their songs for the band to play, but they also had Spotify handy if they didn't know the song.

An hour or two before, Alfred had gone up to submit a song that Arthur wasn't allowed to see, much to his reluctance. He seemed giddy about it, but with all the other songs in line, he was having to wait a long time.

Soon enough, coming from Spotify and out the speakers was a guitar chord progression that nobody in the room seemed to know or recognize. People stopped talking to listen to the unfamiliar song, and it was strangely quiet. But Alfred was up on his feet in less than a second, dragging his date with him to the dance floor.

Arthur's POV

I'm being dragged to the dance floor by none other than Alfred the dork along with a song that I don't think I've heard before. Or not recently at least. Everyone is quiet and the crowd in the middle of the floor separates for us to come through. Nobody knows what song this is. Nor do I. But Alfred obviously does.

Once we get there, he begins to sing the first verse out of tune with cheesy dance moves to go along with it. So this was the song he was so excited to suggest.

"I hop of the plane at LAX with a dream and my cardigan," he sings, "Welcome to the land of fame excess, am I gonna fit in?"

What is this song? It's cheesy with those dance moves, that's for sure, but Alfred seems to love it. I can't help but smile.

"Jumped in the cab, here I am for the first time. Look to my right and I see the Hollywood sign, this is all so crazy. Everybody seems so famous."

Hollywood? Isn't that some famous place in Los Angeles in America or something?

Alfred seems to get to his favorite part of the song as he sings, "My tummy's turnin and I'm feeling kinda homesick. Too much pressure and I'm nervous, that's when the taxi man turns on the radio and a Jay Z song was on! And a Jay Z song was on! And a Jay Z song was on!"

Soon he was belting the chorus,"SO I PUT MY HANDS UP THEY'RE PLAYING MY SONG, AND THE BUTTERFLIES FLY AWAY! NODDIN' MY HEAD LIKE YEAH. MOVIN' MY HIPS LIKE YEAH."

As it continues he belts out the last part of the chorus, "YEAAAAH! IT'S A PARTY IN THE USA! YEEEEAAAAH! IT'S A PARTY IN THE USA!"

I can't help but laugh and some other people around me begin to dance as well. It's a catchy song, I'll give him that.

The whole time Alfred's moves are directed at me, the whole time his eyes are on me, and the whole time he's smiling. His cheesy dance moves that would've belonged perfectly on TikTok and his off tune singing about his home country.

I don't deserve such a boy. He's turning into a man. I sound like a mom. I don't even know what to do.

By the third time the chorus comes around, everybody knows it and is also singing it, but there's no way I'd entitle myself to something as childish as that.

Oh but Alfred's face. Oh but Alfred's face. It's telling me that I better sing. That I know it and that he wants to see me singing it. He wants me to have a good time. So I will sing it.

"I put my hands up, they're playing my song, the butterflies fly away!" I sing along with everybody else while jumping around with my arms in the air. Alfred ends up dancing with me as he pushed me out while still holding in before shoving me into his arms for a giant jumping hug. as we sang, "Yeah! It's a party in the USA!"

At the end, we're all out of breath and laughing. Alfred kisses me (which I'm still not used to) and we decide that it's time to head back and go to sleep.

As we both head back to are near opposite sides of the castle to turn in for the night, I know that this had been the best night of my entire life. I didn't want it to end, but at the same time, I can't wait for tomorrow because I get to see Alfred's shining face again, blue eyes staring in to my green ones, making the perfect mix called turquoise.
