Chapter 1 : Stars

Third Person's PoV

The townsfolk glared at the loud noise coming from the almighty guild of growling tigers, Sabertooth. A man rolled his eyes in annoyance whilst crossing his arms, eyes pasted on the huge oak wood doors. "Damn those Fairy Tail mages making a ruckus anywhere they go"

True to be told, the Fairy Tail mages of Magnolia were inside the said building in Crocus where the noise was originating. The two guilds were celebrating their unity and friendship thanks to their guild masters who made up after the incident of the future chaos and dragons.

Sting and Natsu were in the middle of an eating contest. Thanks to the kind-hearted Yukino who opened Libra's key, their bodies maintained it's weight and avoided accumulating too much fat from the excessive meat and poultry eaten.

Their match eventually ended in a draw, both of them frowning at the result. Sting wandered his eyes around the hall. "Where's Rogue?" he asked as Yukino looked around the crowd.

"I haven't seen him much ever since Makarov-sama and the others arrived. Same as Minerva-sama." She mumbled, brown eyes staring back up at her guild master.

Stings' eyebrows met in confusion. Those two had an issue on a certain blonde haired Fairy and was probably too ashamed and guilty to even show themselves. Sting sighed.

"Well, I can't blame them. You know they can handle themselv-"

Suddenly, a chestnut haired woman (Sting had no idea who she was, not that he even cared) stood on the guild master's chair ( Sting gagged at the sight ) with a bottle of Jack Daniel's in her hand shouted in a slurry tone.

"Drinking contest, drinking contest! Who has higher tolerance, the Fairies or Tigers?!"

The game has begun.

Meanwhile Rogue let out a breathe as he finally got out on the noisy building via the help of shadows. The noise threatened to make his eardrums burst while the suffocating scent of splattered beer and alcohol lingered in the air made him want to threw up and vomit.

Good thing I left Fro back in the house. He thought, smiling lightly as he pictured the sleeping cat. Frosch, his green furred exceed has always been with him ever since he was a kid. The cute innocent exceed lifted him up during his bad times and never left his side.

Out of the blue, a familiar sweet and fruity scent of vanilla and strawberry wafted in the air, interupting his thoughts. Rogue would admit, it was one of the most delicious scent he had ever inhaled and was threatening his saliva to drool over his mouth.

(A/n: He just sounded a lil' bit like Sting. Oh well XD)

He shoved the pervert thoughts of inhaling-someones'-scent-because-it-smells-good-and-was-threatening-to-make-him-drool and blushed lightly at the thought.

His breath hitched when he saw a figure in the nearby fountain. The girl was looking up at the star filled sky, looking up at it with pure admiration.

Wait, wasn't that Fairy Tails' Lucy Heartfilia? What is she doing here? Wasn't she supposed partying at the guild?

The celestial mage continued at her little stargazing, admiring the magnificent view created by millions of stars dusted there like glitter.

She had no idea that they were going on Sabertooth. Lucy was flattered since it means seeing Yukino after a long time but it also felt awkward being inside a former rivalry guild.

A whiff of midnight breeze passed making the blonde shiver involuntarily. She had never liked the cold despite being around with an ice wizard who strips exposing his well sculpted body to everyone.

"You shouldn't stay around here Lucy-san"

Shocked by the sudden voice, Lucy almost fell at the fountain but thankfully regained her balance. Rogue stood infront of her, their eyes locking.

The celestial mages' face burned red in embarrassment.

That was embarrassing!

Lucy was dazed. Rogue has the most amazing eyes that she have ever met. It was ruby red in color with a heavy shade of crimson deep in the irises. He has sharp, cat-like slit eyes and long, felt tip eyelashes. It was beautiful.

He bowed lightly, making Lucy stand up from her seat and snap her from her thoughts. "I apologize if I scared you"

"I-it's alright. H-how about you?"

He lifted his body before he let out a sigh of relief. "I can't seem to handle the ruckus inside."

Lucy smiled inwardly. Rogue raked a hand on his hair. Briefly closing his eyes to settle down the incoming blush making it's way in his cheeks.

An ear-piercing squeal came from the girl beside him made him jolt up and shot his eyes open. Rest in peace, preacious eardrums.

The blonde was bouncing up and down, pointing at the sky. "A meteor shower! Make a wish Rogue! Make a wish!"

This almost made the shadow dragon slayer laugh in amusement. What is she, a little kid?

She closed her eyes and entwined her hands, murmuring silently under her breath. Rogue had to admit, she looked so innocently cute it almost made his heart melt. Same feeling he felt towards Frosch.

He stared at the sky. "A bright future. Without letting the shadow take over me. Without destroying anyone's future."

A star winked at him, almost telling him an yes as an answer. He turned to the celestial wizard beside him. "What did you wish for?"

She blonde smiled lightly. "I won't spill, it won't come true if I told you"

Rogue smiled softly at her.

"Would you like to come inside? It's getting cold in here"
