Before the War( Remus Lupin Love Story)

Chapter 3

The sight that greeted us when we arrived home was interesting to say the least. My brother William Had Briar in a head lock, and Millie was hissing at them as she laid on her dog bed. I looked over to see my Nan shaking her head as she helped me take my stuff to my room.

" I have to be going love don't let your brothers get to you and I want weekly updates when you start Hogwarts" She kisses my head before Appariting out of my room. I smiled opening my trunk getting the last few things from Ilvermonry out noticing a small package from my friend Isabella. 

" Shit " I mumbled opening it seeing it's a scarf with the Ilvermonry crest on it. I smiled packing it in with my winter gear before making sure everything else was put into place before closing it grabbing my broom making sure it was latched onto the trunk as scorch watched interested in what I was doing. I grabbed some parchment and my quill starting my letter to Isabella. 

To my friend ,

Isabella what where you thinking putting that present in my trunk knowing full well I won't be opening my trunk till about now. Any who how have you been have your sisters been driving you nuts again? Hows Monica? William would love for you guys to visit over Christmas this year. We know those two are seeing each other every other day at this point. I hope they get a house here so we get to see each other more often. 

So Iv'e made a new friend already. Her name is Lily Evans and shes an interesting witch. She told me about Hogwarts and the four houses. The houses are similar to ours but the names are after the founders of Hogwarts isn't that cool. Anyways I got a new owl his name is Scorch. So when you get him feed him and water him for a couple of days before sending him to Hogwarts since Ill be leaving first thing in the morning for the new school.

I sealed the letter up giving to scorch as he fly's off to the portal for North America. I smiled waiting till he was out of sight before changing into something more comfortable for the evening. I noticed my grandmother had bought me some new clothing as well. It sucks being her only granddaughter because I'm made to wear the dresses she buys for me when we have family functions. 

After I changed I walked down stairs to see Briar stuffing his face and William reading a book. 

" Hey dumbos were Pop and ma?" I looked at them as they shrugged.

" Said something about going into the ministry for something. Didn't say when they would be back" William says from his spot on the couch. I grabbed an apple from the counter before flopping down on the couch next to him. 

" So have you and Monica set a date yet? I mean your 23 and shes 21 and I want a niece or nephew before i'm 50" I smirked seeing him glaring at me. 

" Yes we have set a date and your not invited anymore " I stick my tongue out at him biting into my apple. 

" You know Will if you and Monica have a boy name him after me" Briar yells from the kitchen laughing" Because i'm going for my auror training soon and Ill be a bad ass one at that" I snorted at his comment. 

" Yeah until you get turned into a chicken" I laugh hearing William chuckle. God I was going to miss my brothers when I went back to school. I still had another year after this one. Then freedom to become what ever I wanted to be. In reality I would love to be a professor at either Ilvermorny or Hogwarts. But it honestly depending on how I feel after this year. 

I watched as Millie found her way to the trash can and Briars screams of frustration with her gets worse. " Well on that note I'm going to bed" Night Will, Night Bri" I walked back upstairs getting ready for my first day at Hogwarts tomorrow. This was a fun day, and I couldn't wait until tomorrow.
