Before the War( Remus Lupin Love Story)

Chapter 11

Remus POV

" Three weeks Prongs, shes been out for three week" I was driving myself nuts, Moony wanted to rip Severus and Regulus to shreds for hurting her. " MERLIN WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME" I wailed loudly falling onto my bed. Padfoot snorted a little as he walked over. 

" Your in love moony" He sang way to cheery for my liking. Padfoot walked over to his trunk pulling out a few things smirking. " Were getting them back tonight!" The grin on Padfoots face was one of mischief and a mixture of murder. I knew what was going to happen. The look of pure terror had etched itself on to Padfoots face as Prongs wore one almost identical to it. 

" You go visit her moony we will handle the Slytherins." I noticed prongs voice was filled with venom and he was more than willing to go into enemy territory. I got up leaving waving to Wormtail as he only waved back. 

I walked out of the portrait heading to the medical bay smiling a little as I spotted Lily and Louise next to her doing her school work as if it was her. " Hey ladies" I waved sitting down as Lily gave me a soft smile and Louise kept writing.

" Afternoon Remus. " Lily said to me in her kind voice as Louise just waved. " Any word yet on when Poppy will wake her up? " I turned to Louise who did a long sigh. 

" Shes gonna wake up probably tonight early tomorrow. Honestly Remus just be prepared in case something goes wrong. Shes been out for three weeks, She might not be able to comprehend that right off the brain. " Louise looked at me and I noticed she had been crying. I knew Louise and Victoria were close due to being room mates but I didn't realize Louise was that worried about her. 

" You saw this happening didn't you!" I asked calmly as she broke down. " I tried to warn a professor" She wailed her once purple eyes were red and puffy as she started crying." They don't believe me that Severus and Regulus started it. They think she did. When she wakes up they will be questioning her about it. " I put my hand on her shoulder as she cried and I noticed Lily looked upset as well. 

" Lily What ever happens this evening just know James and Sirius are doing it for her!" Lily's vivid green eyes got narrow as she stood up. " Ill let them get away with it if it means she will be avenged!" I noticed Lily looked just as bad as Louise. They both had taken it hard as well. I watched as both of them leave the medical bay as I sat down opening a book called to Kill a Mocking Bird. It was a muggle book my mother had gotten me over the summer holidays to read. I sat down and started reading it to Victoria like I have been for the last three weeks. 

Victoria's POV

Everything was black. I couldn't move, I couldn't talk, Hell were was I? Was this death? If so I don't like it not one bit. I wandered around the black for what seemed like forever. I noticed a door. It was like no door I had ever seen before. It was had a beautiful design of flowers all over it. Maybe mahogany? I grabbed the door knob turning it slightly as it opened to a nice bluish green colored room. I looked around said room seeing it had a nice bed, and Dresser, on the walls hanged photos of people. I spotted a moving one of my parents smiling a little. Another of my Brother William with his Fiance Monica. 

I Stopped staring at the photo of them. He was in a suit and she was in a gorgeous gown. Their wedding? How is this possible. They wont be getting married till the summer of 77. I stared at it before moving to look at the next one only to stop hearing the sound of a crying infant. I opening the other door walking down the long hall ignoring the other photos before hearing the wailing of an Infant on the other side of the door I just stopped in front of. Though the wailing stopped the minuet I opened the door. Inside I saw the one thing I though Id never see.

I gasped waking up holding my chest frantic. I looked around to see someone asleep in the chair next to me. It was Remus ... Why of all people did it have to be Remus! I got up carefully and quietly before leaving him there sneaking out of the medical bay before finding my way threw the castle down to the kitchens.  I was starving and wanted to get something decent in my stomach. 

As I approached the pear I could hear voices near by. I quickly hid behind the column as I spotted Sean, and Marley. 

" Did you hear about Potter, and Black?" Sean said to Marley as the got closer. 

" No what happened... Don't tell me they actually got expelled this time?" Marley said un surprise.

" No ... Not yet at least. Apparently Black and Potter broke into the Slytherin Common room, Pranked the whole house. Changed most of their robes to bright pink and frilly things. But what they did to Severus and Regulus is what is holding them high in detention for the rest of the month. Apparently Potter and Black released a hoard of Owls in their room! Owl fecal matter every where. McGonagall is not to pleased with the two right now." 

" Bloody hell I would have never thought they would go that far. I know they have done really bad stuff in the past... You don't think its because of that Hufflepuff... The one they say that Lupin practically saved from death?" 

" That would be their motive Marley!" Their voices started to fade as they walked on by and Soon I was able to break into the kitchen. I spotted the few house elf's and I smiled kindly at them.

" Hello, Little elf's... May I ask for some help?" Majority of the house elf's couldn't wait to start helping me. Before I know it I'm eating a home cooked meal getting full as the door opens. I quickly hide under the cabinets hearing the voice that I thought I would get away from for a little bit." 

" Victoria I know your in here?" I heard the voice of Professor Mcgonagall as she stepped around and I crawled out of my hiding place. 

" Sorry Professor I got hungry" I mumbled as she smiled at me. 

" Its okay Ms. Hollows sit down we can chat. I have a few questions I need answers to. Your the only one I know that can answer them." Her smile was a rare one and I only nodded as the elf's brought her some tea and brought me a slice of chocolate cake. 

" Ms. Hollows I want to know what exactly happened the day of the attack! Don't hold back but first eat I need to send a patronus to Professor Sprout, and Professor Dumbledore to meet here okay!" I only nodded eating the cake happily downing a glass of milk as the other two professor appeared shortly after. 

" So, Ms. Hollows please tells us what exactly happened the day of your accident!" Professor Dumbledore looked at me his eyes showing some sort of mischief behind the crescent moon specticals. 

" Well professor," I started pausing taking a long deep breath. " It all started that morning. I was a nervous wreck you see, getting ready for quidditch tryouts. I remember having breakfast with Louise and the guys. It was about time to head to the quidditch pitch and I remember walking towards it.  I heard snickering and then... Pain nothing but pain running threw my back. I turned around quickly as another thing of orange light hit me. I didn't know what it was. Some spell of the sorts. It came from Severus. It was an odd thing. Before I knew it I must have blacked out. I don't recall much after that you see."

 I looked up at the professors as Dumbledore looked upset and I noticed the other two looked sick to their stomachs.

" Ms. Hollows you actually died on us twice you know. You've been in a coma for three weeks." I looked at Dumbledore as he paced the kitchen. " This changes everything. Starting today you will be moved into any classes your taking to be with the Gryffindors. You are to not go anywhere unless you are escorted by a professor, Prefect, or a friend." He looked more than upset and I don't blame him.

I only nodded as he had professor Sprout take me back to the medical bay where we saw Remus Lupin asleep on the chair the book laid open on his chest as he slept and I blushed as Sprout only smiled. Starting tomorrow you will be escorted by Mr. Lupin, or Miss Evans." She left with out another word as I climbed back into the bed I looked over at Remus before blushing. 

" If you would have seen the future You'd be blushing too!" I mumbled as I fell back to sleep, hoping for a better day tomorrow.
