Before the War( Remus Lupin Love Story)

Chapter 10

Victoria POV

Lily Jane Evans had just agreed to a date with the one and only James Potter. Thee James Potter the one that has been apparently going after her since they started school together. I looked at Remus to see he looked just as shocked as I was. Since I had met Lily I would have never thought she would be saying yes to him. I looked at James to see he looked just as shocked as everyone around them. Hell the great hall was silent.

" Y...Your j..joking?" James stuttered a bit out of character to much in shock as Lily rolled her eyes at him. 

" You get one shot Potter that's it" She walked out of the great hall as Remus and I stood still in shock until we heard Sirius Squeal. 

" OH MY MERLIN PRONGS YOU FINALLY DID IT" Sirius started yelling too excited to sit still. Black was bouncing up and down in his seat as Remus and I walked over sitting in front of them as I spotted Louise had her homework scattered everywhere. I noticed she was crying slightly and at the time I thought it was because she was finally having her mental break down with the home work. But had I known then what I know now we could have prevented everything that was to come.

I smiled at Louise helping her with her homework as Remus broke apart his chocolate bar giving us all a piece. I smiled at him taking it as Louise scarfs hers down and James doesn't eat it instead he is still sitting there with his mouth open with a dazed look in his eyes. Sirius sits giddy as can be humming. 

Sirius POV

My brother has done it he has gotten the only girl he ever wanted. " Hey Prongs, Moony? Did ya want to play a prank on you know who" I nodded towards Victoria and I noticed Prongs attitude change quickly as he smirked. 

" What do you have in mind Padfoot?" James said to me as my smirk only grew bigger. I noticed Moony had a look that said if you hurt her I'll kill you look. 

" Relax Moony we wont hurt her. You know how shes trying out for the Hufflepuff quidditch team. I say we take her broom and charm it to be slow on purpose." James was thinking and grinned ear to ear. 

" Or we could easily destroy it." His grin was wider as Moony sat there worried for the first time about the reciprocation. 

" Guys I don't think we should do that... we can charm it yes but destroy it? That's a good way of getting expelled. Honestly I would just charm it to the point were it doesn't want to fly". I grinned at Remus knowing full well he wanted to prank Victoria with the way he just gave the plan.

" Then lets go men we have a big day ahead of us tomorrow. I walked out noticing Louise was still crying. Her eyes were glowing. This couldn't be good at all. I walked out of the great hall for the first time with an uneasy feeling in my gut.

" Okay Remus since your the brains your gonna go into the Hufflepuff broom closet at night. Your a prefect so you have automatic access to it. Make sure you charm it so it won't fly got it." I smirked as Remus  made sure he had his wand and got ready to go. As he left I turned to Prongs.

" Come one lets go see how this goes down, grab your cloak." Prongs grabbed what he needed and I grabbed the map as we started out after Remus.

On our way down I noticed on the map that Victoria wasn't in her common room and it looked like she was speaking with Remus." Oh no". 

Remus POV

As I walked down the hall to go to the broom shed, I noticed Victoria grabbing what looked like her broom. It was a newer broom, If I do the prank to the broom the broom will be stripped and she wouldn't have a nice broom ever again. I was getting a sick feeling in my gut about this.
