Before the War( Remus Lupin Love Story)

Chapter 9

Victoria POV

I ran down the corridor rounding the corner to see Severus Snape, and Regulus Black laughing as some poor Ravenclaw girl was being hexed by them. Severus was someone I didn't care for. Lily had told me they used to be very good friends up until he called her a Mud blood. I couldn't stand people who did such a thing. I walked out of my hiding spot calmly my wand at the ready before I said the spell I wanted to use.

" Expelliarmus" I knocked both their wands out of their hands as a professor came into view. It was Professor Flitwick and I glared at the two Slytherins as the girl kept coughing up blood.

" What in the world is going on here!" He turns to all three of us as i'm holding their wands "I don't know professor I just walked by and saw them hexing the poor girl!" He nodded as he checked up on the girl. 

" Ms. Hollows could you be so kind as to take Ms. Jones up to the infirmary?" I only nodded helping the girl up after giving Flitwick the boys wands. Before helping her up.

" What happened back there?" I looked at the girl with a little bit of sympathy as she hiccuped." They ganged up on me... They wanted me to " She swallowed hard before whispering it to me and I paled asking her if they touched her anywhere." No... i..if you didn't show up when you did ... I... I don't know what would have happened.

I nodded giving her a piece of chocolate out of my bag." Here take it. It will make you feel better" I smiled as she took it before I left heading back towards the common room exhausted at this point when I saw Professor Dumbledore. 

" Ah good evening Ms. Hollows, Its quite late what are you doing up so late, and out of your common room?" He looked at me stroking his beard his eyes twinkling a bit.

" I'm Sorry professor, I was on my way back to the common room now. I had to help a student to the infirmary after she was ganged up on by other students." I looked at him as he only nodded." That's very nice of you Ms.Hollows I shall reward you with 20 points to Hufflepuff." I smiled a bit at him as he heads off to the infirmary to check up on a few students. So I continued on my way to the common room stopping at the window in the tower that over looks the womping willow. whats interesting though is I saw four silhouettes running a crossed the grounds. But what really caught my attention was that the four people were the marauders.

" What in gods name are they doin-" I stopped seeing the one thing I never thought I would see. Remus was in agonizing pain and I could hear the screams. I watched in Horror as he transformed into a werewolf. " Oh my " I stopped my mouth opened as I felt tears rolling down my cheeks." How ... Why..." I felt terrible for him as I watched the other three quickly change into animgus. Although I knew something happen the Werewolf looked up the tower right at me before running towards the school. If it wouldn't have been for Sirius who is the big black dog knocking him back towards the forbidden forest. I'm sure it wouldn't have ended well tonight. 

I ran back to the common room launching myself into it panting slamming the wall shut. Luckily no body was in the room. I slid down to the ground crying softly. " So you know now too" I looked up seeing Louise. " You knew?" She smiled down at me before sitting cross legged in front of me. 

" Iv'e known since I shook hands with him in first year. I'm a seer. You need to realize he didn't have a choice in this. He was attacked when he was just a young child. Actually he should be dead. " her eyes are glowing. " But you need to accept it and be accepting towards him! Hes not a bad person and his friends are all he has to keep him sain. I would honestly talk to him when he's feeling better in the morning." She smiled at me before going to our shared dorm. I followed shortly after her changing climbing into my bed. Although I didn't fall asleep I was wide awake unable to concentrate on going to sleep. Instead I was up all night thinking of Remus and his blood curdling scream.
