This was originally a spoken word poem, so C and V are two speakers (me and my friend) and B is both speakers at the same time.

------------------------------------

C: A walk to the park reveals a bench of beauty

B: And on that bench I see...

C: I see a girl sitting there
V: Hiding melancholy eyes behind raven hair

C: Her hair blows wild with the falling leaves,
V: Tears not yet dry stain her perrywinkle sleeves

C: I wonder why anybody would be so glum
V: I hope this is a sadness she can overcome

C: Maybe a bully won't relent
V: Maybe she's going through an unfortunate event

C: Maybe she was betrayed by someone she just met
V: Maybe she did something she regrets

C: Maybe it was really bad and she was in the wrong
V: Maybe someone pressured her to change her song

B: But...

C: How could the life of a good girl go so wrong?
V: How could anyone make such a girl feel she doesn't belong?

C: What could make her do something like this?
V: What could bring back those innocent days of bliss?

C: Where was the first mistake made?
V: Where was her mind when she was first betrayed?

C: Who has helped to make her this way?
V: Who has lead this poor girl astray?

C: Was there any way to save her?
V: Was there any sign of the danger?

C: Or was the danger too deep under her skin?
V: Or was it hidden under a mask already scarred and paper thin?

C: Why did no one try to mend her beaten heart?
V: Why did this tragic spiral even have to start?

C: Was it too late to fix their mistakes?
V: Was it possible to save her from the heartache?

C: Her head may have been high up in the clouds
V: But the voices she heard may still be too loud—wait

C: Nothing's happened yet
V: We can still reach out I bet

V: Reach out to her and to everyone

B: Because being kind is a battle we already should've won
