"Did..." I looked over, Yorak was looking at the ground as we walked. They looked over.
"Did you really mean it?" Yorak asked.
"Mean what?" I asked.
"That I mean that much to you..." Yorak said. I paused.
"Why would I lie?" I asked. Yorak shook their head.
"I- I don't know. I just... I didn't... I've never thought any of this would ever happen. Maybe I was waiting for someone who's never coming back, who's fallen in love with someone else. I don't know, it's been two years, and he never came. He broke his promise. But, you know what? If he didn't, I would never have met you, or the others. You all are wonderful people. And I don't think this is what I was waiting for, I don't think I ever thought past the point of him coming back. Giving my old friends each a gift. I suppose I should throw those things out" Yorak said. I smiled.
"So, you've moved on?" I asked, Yorak looked back to me.
"Yeah, I think I've fallen for someone else now" Yorak said, I thought for a while, who could they have fallen for in this amou- Oh...
I looked over to them.
"Wh- What?" I asked. Yorak smiled, laughing a bit.
"I think I'm okay with not getting my memories back. I hated that I didn't remember anything, that I didn't remember the one I loved the most. But, now I realize that it doesn't matter, it never did. Live goes on, and so should I. I don't need anyone to push me that way, I just need to tell myself to move" Yorak said. My shocked expression slowly turned to a happy one.
"Ya know? You're right. I loved someone else, who's passed away. They're gone, and sure I still love him and miss him. But, if he didn't pass I would have never met you" I said. Yorak smiled brightly.
"Hey, can I tell you something?" Yorak asked. I smiled.
"Of course" I said.
"I've never felt it before. But... I think I'm in love with you" Yorak said. I smiled brightly.
"Well, you know what? I have, and I know I'm in love with you" I said. Yorak smiled, then laughed.
"What are you laughing about?" I asked, a smile still on my face.
"I just realized that I've fallen in love with someone I don't even know the name of!" Yorak laughed out. I thought about it, they were right, I never told them my name. I snorted, then laughing along with them.
"I thought I was Bi, but now I'm in love with someone, who I don't know the gender of, and they don't even know what gender is!" I said, they laughed harder.
We quieted down as we made it back to the house.
"What's the term for it?" Yorak muttered to them self. I looked over.
"The term for what?" I asked.
"Um.. When two people, like you and I, fall in love, the relationship thing..." Yorak said, muttering to them self again.
"You mean dating?" I asked. They smiled brightly, looking to me.
"Yes! That thing!! Are we dating?" Yorak asked. I smiled.
"Well would you like to be my..." I paused, thinking hard about it.
"I can't call you boyfriend or girlfriend... Um... significant other is too formal... Partner can mean anything... Um..." I said, trying to think of a replacement word.
"Is there another word that could replace the gendered ones?" Yorak asked. I thought harder.
"E... An... En! ENBY!!!" I said, now remembering.
"Would you like to be my enbyfriend!?!" I asked, proud that I remembered it. They were caught off guard by my yelling. They laughed a bit.
"Yes. I'd love to be your enbyfriend. And you would be my...?" Yorak asked.
"Boyfriend" I said, they smiled to this.
"Boyfriend. You would be- are my boyfriend" Yorak said, a blush grow on their face.
"What? Why are you embarrassed?" I asked, laughing a bit.
"I don't know! It's just-!! I don't know, it's embarrassing to say!" Yorak said. Their blush light up in the dark, which is strange but cool. Maybe it's an alien thing.
"You're my enbyfriend~!!" I teased, they blush brightened.
"Stop it!!" Yorak whined out. I laughed, hugging them.
"Nope, never! This is was you asked for!! Plus, you glow when you blue and it's cute!" I said, their eyes turned a slight shade of pink. Still blushing intensely.
We walked into the house, Yorak still blushing like crazy, us both still soaking wet, with the stuff we bought form the store. I still had a bright smile on my face, my arm wrapped around Yorak.
"We're home!!" I said. Everyone stared at us, very confused.
"You two worried us so much!! Why are you wet!?! What happened!?! Is Yorak okay!?!" Allura asked. Donovan rushed over to Yorak. Looking at them.
"Oh, this has happened before. The villagers embarrassed Yorak so much they had an emotional overload. They'll cool down soon, but I wouldn't try to embarrass them much anymore they'll just start crying" Donovan said.
"What" Hunk said.
"I don't know they just start crying. Like, no sadness or anything, they just, cry" Donovan said, taking Yorak from me and placing them on the couch, putting a blanket on them, they curled up into the blanket, still having a bright pink glow.
"They glow when they blush, isn't that cool?" I asked. I started taking out the stuff we bought. I looking around, finding a place to put the tree. Donovan stared at it.
"Why did you buy that?" Donovan asked.
"Well, because Yorak was staring at it and seemed to really like it" I said. Donovan looked to me.
"When did you two get married?" Donovan asked.
"What!?!" We all asked. Yorak came out of the blanket, sighing.
"I didn't have the heart to tell you. These trees are like... Wedding rings. But this one had color, that's why I was so interested in it. Because if it's sold, it loses color, if it finds a married couple that will probably take it, it changes to their colors. Then we bought it, and I didn't know what to say, seeing it keep it's color makes me curious as well" Yorak said, messing with one of the red hearts.
"You two are married?" Coran asked. Yorak stared a little longer, sparkles appeared in their eyes, being rainbow colored, then disappearing.
"That's what it reminded me of" Yorak muttered.
