Chapter 6- That Happened

~Nash's POV~

Hayes went outside to comfort Cece. We watched from the window as everything happened. When they kissed Will and I screamed. Hayes apologized and she left, I don't know what came over him but if it mean me winning the bet it's all good.

When Cece came in she saw us watching.

"You guys spying on us?"

"Maybe..." I said as I smirked.

She started to walk away but she turned around.

"Do you guys know what that kiss was all about?"

"Actually no. But we will find out. If I have a guess I say he likes you" I said in an evil sounding tone.

Cece laughed at me and walked up the stairs. I looked back out the window and saw Hayes sitting there with his head in his hands. I walk outside and sit next to him.

"What up brochacho?" I ask him trying to get him to crack a smile.

"Well, I just came out here to comfort Cece when I don't know I kissed her. She got up and went inside right after. She probably hates me now, I mean I messed up. I don't even know what I did or why I did it. She's like my sister and best friend. I just screwed it up."

"Well Hayes, I don't know why you did it but I can tell you she doesn't hate you."

"Really?" He said as he picked his head out of his knees and his eyes got wide.

"Yes buddy, I think she actually enjoyed it."

"Well who wouldn't enjoy kissing me." He said raising his eyebrows with a smirk on his face.

I laugh and stand up.

"I'm cold, I'm going in now. Don't stay out too long." I say before I walk inside.

I run right upstairs to Cece's room. I barge in and see her sitting on her bed on her phone, She smiling, ear to ear. I've never seen such a big smile from her.

"Who ya textin?" I ask as I flop on the bed next to her.

"No one." She says quickly and firmly.

She shoves her phone under her pillow and looks up at me.

"So what's up?"

"Hayes thinks you hate him" I blurt out.

"WHAT? where is he?" She sounds very concerned

"Outside" I reply.

"Ugh ok. Nash, please leave, don't say anything to Hayes, got it?"

"Yes mam" I said chuckling.

~Summers POV~

I grabbed my phone as soon as Nash left. I wasn't texting anyone when Nash walked in, I was looking at Hayes tweets from tonight. The first one was of me and him and it said, "you and I, we don't wanna be like them. We can be the best of friends." I laugh because I came up with the caption. The next one says "you look so perfect" I smile thinking of him. That's when Nash walked in. I take out my phone and look at a more recent one. The last one from tonight says, "I'm such a mess up."

I walk out on my balcony which over looks the porch and quickly text "Hayes my main bitch" he put that in of course.

"Come up to my room. I don't need you freezing to death."

He smiles and looks up at me. I laugh and motion him to come up. After a minute or two I feel arms wrap around my waist.

"Hello there Hayes." I say laughing.

"Hello there Cecilia." He says giving me the 'I don't care what you want me to call you look'

"Hayes, I don't hate you. The only reason I left was because I wasn't sure what had just happened. Your my best friend, I can't lose you."

"I will never leave you." He says smiling.

I look out at the stars and I feel him looking at me.

"Yes Hayes?" I said still staring at the stars.

"Oh nothing, sorry."

I looked back out into the stars and saw a shooting star. The sky was so pretty at night. After a minute I felt Hayes looking at me again.

"Hayes, what do you need?" I said with out even looking at him

I turned to him and our lips were so close. I felt him breathing and I looked into his eyes.

"Just as friends?" He asked me.

I rolled my eyes. "I don't see how we can do this just as friends."

"Like this." He says as he kisses me. It was a perfect kiss. I felt butterflies but we were just friends, he said it himself. I have to stop thinking about him as more than that. We pull away and look at each other.

"See," he says. "Just as friends"

~Hayes POV~

I say goodnight to Cece and walk down stairs where Nash and Will were. I had just realized why they have been acting so weird. They made a bet to see how long it would take for me to like Cece.

"So who won the bet?" I ask smiling ear to ear.

"HOLY SHIT!!! HAYES YOU LIKE HER??!"

"Nash shut the fuck up she's going to hear you!"

"Watch your language!" He says mocking Cece from the other morning.

"You guys never answered my question, who won the bet?"

"That would be me." Will says. "I said 2 days, Nash said 1."

Will grabs Nash's phone and tweets,

"I want the booty, the juicy booty😏"

and

"Hayes and Will are the bomb.com"

I laugh and walk upstairs to my room. I sit on the bed and think. I like Cece, I really do.
