Chapter 9- Fix It

~Cece's POV~

I wake up and remember everything that happened last night. I jump out of bed and run into Hayes's room. He has his back to me so I run and give him a big hug. I can tell he's shocked. He turns around and I give him another hug, this time from the front.

"I'm so sorry" I say not wanting to let go.

Hayes pulls away and goes to sit on his bed.

"I can't believe you even did that. What happened?"

"I was so upset about losing you that I decided to change who I was. Matt asked me out and I agreed. I changed into the slutty girl he wanted me to be. I got snotty and bratty. I never should have done any of that."

"Cece it's ok. It was a mistake, everything is fine now. And you realize you didn't lose me, I lost you. Your the one who told me we weren't friends anymore."

"I know but I messed up, I really missed you Hayes"

"I cried everyday because of you and all you say is that you messed up?"

"I'm sorry." I tried to hug him but he wouldn't hug back.

"Hayes..?"

"Sorry Cece but I can't just forgive you like that. Your appearance changed back but I don't know if you have. Your not the girl I liked a week ago."

"Ugh Hayes! I'll show you that I have changed. You'll see, and you'll be sorry."

I storm out and run down the stairs, everyone's at the table but Hayes.

"Everyone I'm so sorry. I changed for a boy and treated you guys awful. I didn't realize what happened until Hayes talked to me last night. I can't believe I was so mean to the people who let me live at there house for no cost. I'm so sorry and I promise that Ive changed back and I'll never do any of that again."

Everyone thanks me and hugs me and I head up stairs. I pass Hayes on the way and he smiles and says, "good job but that's not all that's gone wrong." I roll my eyes and laugh as I sit on the couch. After a little Nash comes and sits next to me.

"Hey! Glad your back." He says to me.

"I feel much better now. I'm glad Hayes talked some sense into me."

"Me too. You know, Hayes really likes you."

"What? Were just friends. Plus he told me he didn't like me."

"Yeah I'm aware but he still likes you, a lot."

"Oh."

"He's really mad about Matt, that's why he won't forgive you."

"I'm breaking up with Matt." I blurt out.

"Really? Wait why?" Nash asks surprised.

"He wanted me to be the girl I was the entire last week. I don't want to be that person."

"Oh. Well Hayes will be happy."

"Please don't tell him. He's still mad at me though."

"Maybe but I would talk to him if I were you."

"Ok thanks Nash." I yell after him as he walks away.

I need to talk to Hayes so I can see about this "grounding"

"Hayes??" I scream

"In my room." I hear him yell back.

I walk in and he's shirtless, holy shit he's hot.

"You know it's not nice to stare" he says smirking.

"Oh sorry." I say kinda embarrassed.

"I want my phone back" I say sharply.

"No! I told you not until school starts again."

"Hayes! It's really important, it's only for like 10 minutes."

"Fine. But you have to stay in my room."

"Fine"

"Now close your eyes, I'll get it."

"You better not kiss me Mr Grier."

"Not planning on it." He says annoyed.

He hands me my phone and he just looks at me.

"Go ahead, you have 10 minutes." He says.

I text Matt,

"Listen, the person I have been for the last week is not who I want to be. I understand that's how you want me to be. I'm grounded and I'm changing my actions. I'm done being the slutty little brat. This means were done. I'm sorry to brake it off like this but I can't leave the house. Hope we could be friends so that it isn't awkward for our friends but I don't know how you feel. Sorry."

I hand Hayes my phone. He just stands there and looks at me.

"Yes Hayes?"

"What did you just do?"

"I um I broke up with Matt."

"Yes!" He screams. "Oh oops sorry. Why did you?"

"He wasn't the guy for me, he changed me and made me some one I don't want to be."

"Oh ok. Well I have to go." He says looking a little sad.

"Thanks Hayes" I said giving him a hug.

I go outside his room and stand there so he can't see me. I hear him let out a big exhale and throw something across the room.

"UGH!" He yelled as he punched a pillow.

Hayes actually likes me. Wow.
