No One Cared, Until Now (Hayes Grier Fanfic)

Chapter 12- School

~Ceces POV~

Today is the first day if school and I'm not excited. Hayes and I have the same friends and the two of us aren't really on good terms. I guess I'll just hang with Sky and Maria, I have each class with at least one of them. Brian, Hayes and Chris can all hang out. I don't know what will happen with Matt, he's probably mad.

I get up at 5:30am and start to get ready. The bus comes at 7:10 according to mom so I have plenty of time. I take a shower and blow dry my hair, I straighten it so it looks nice. I apply a little bit of mascara and decide to pick out my clothes. I decided on a blue and green crop top with high waisted shorts (so you can't see my stomach) and white converse. I made my bed and realized it was 6:50. I decided to go downstairs and eat.

Hayes was sitting at the table eating cereal. I grabbed a bowl and sat next to him. We sat in silence on our phones while we ate. At 7:05 we walked out side and stood at the bus stop, it was just us. Can u say awkward...? I decided that I better say something,

"Hi" I said kinda shyly we haven't talked since the fight. I think the whole family noticed because they really have been trying to keep us separate.

"Hi me?" He asks looking at the ground.

"Yes you, who else did you think I would be talking to."

"I wasn't sure... I didn't expect you to talk to me."

"Oh."

"You look really pretty." He blurts out. I look up at him and he has him hands on his mouth. We make eye contact and he looks at the ground.

"Thanks?" I say with a confused tone.

The bus pulls up, thank god cause it was awkward. I see Sky and she motions for me to sit next to her. Hayes sits across from us with Brian.

"Woah, it just got awkward." Sky said.

"Really? You can tell?"

"Well you both walked in with out saying a word and Hayes keeps looking at you with his "I love her" face."

"Oh. Well anyways I'm no longer grounded!"

"Yay!! We can hang then."

"Totally."

"Were all going to play hoops later at the park you wanna come?"

"Sure! Wait who's coming."

"Maria, Brian, Chris, you, me and maybe Hayes..?" She says with a questioning tone at the end.

"Oh ok. I'll go, it will be fun to hang out with my friends plus Hayes."

She gives me the "he is your friend look" but soon dismisses it since were at school. We all go to our home rooms. I'm in a home room with Brian and Sky so we all walk together. It feels good to have friends. We get to home room and sit down in a triangle towards the back.

"Woah Cece did you see all those guys checking you out?" Brain asks me with a grin.

"What? No!"

"He's right, there was a lot." Sky continues.

"Oh."

Our conversation gets interrupted by the teacher starting class. She says that where get we are sitting is our home room seats. Yay! I can sit with my friends.

The day goes by pretty smoothly and sooner or later it's lunch time. I get my lunch with Sky and Maria and they walk towards there normal table. Apparently, Matt sits on the end, then Brian and Chris. Then on the other side it's Sky, Maria and Hayes. Hayes takes Matts old seat and the girls scute down so I sit across from him. Ugh now I have to look at Hayes all lunch, he is hot tho with his blue eyes and brown shaggy hair, no what am I saying get to together Cece.

All during lunch we talk and make jokes. Hayes and I talk but not too each other. It's doesn't seem awkward anymore. Once lunch is over I have History with Hayes, and Sky. We sit down at a round table and just talk until the class starts. When class starts the teacher puts some girl named Lauren at our table. She's seems nice.

As soon as the class is over Hayes pulls Sky and I aside.

"Lauren is Matts ex girlfriend." Hayes explains

"Shit"

"What she said" Sky says and points at me.

We all laugh because Sky hates to curse. I can't believe that was the Lauren.

"So she's the slut who broke up with Matt?"

"Yeah" Hayes answered.

"Oh. Well History will be worse than normal."

"Hey but I'm sitting next to you so it will be awesome!" Hayes says and winks.

"Grier, your on thin ice." I said scolding him.

"Oh right. Well I'll see you guys later." He says walking away.

Sky immediately turns to me. "You know he still likes you?"

"He told me and Matt that he would never want to be my boyfriend or friend."

"Well he's lieing."

"I liked him Sky. I only went out with Matt because I missed Hayes. He just keeps hurting me."

"It's ok Cece. It will get better." She says giving me a hug.

"We should get to class, I'll see you later." Sky said and ran off to class.

~Sky's POV~

I run off to class but see Brian in the hallway.

"Hey! Brian!" I yelled down the hallway. He walks up to me and I continue, "everything in plan for this afternoon?"

"I think so."

"And they have no idea right?"

"No idea."

"Good. I got to get to class but I'll see you on the bus."

I run off to class excited for the park. This day needs to end faster.
