Chapter 8- Change is Coming

~Hayes POV~

I hate myself. I had to go and get all jealous and lose my best friend. No I'm not talking about Matt, I'm talking about Cece. To make it worse she lives with me so my family is mad, plus everyone's saying that she liked me. It's been a week since the whole park thing. I've haven't left my room unless I was going to the bathroom. When I wanted food Will would bring it up to me. He's the only one who doesn't practically hate me.

I hear Cece leave the house daily and assume she's with Sky. They have gotten pretty close recently. She should be thanking me because I introduced them but no instead she hasn't talked to me in a week. School starts on Monday and I don't want to go back. I would rather sit here and grow old alone and die.

Every once in awhile I will see Instagram pictures of Cece and Matt or Cece and Sky. I get so mad, I just remember everything I did and how I acted like a douche. My friends probably all hate me too because I hurt the "perfect little princess." That's what I hear my family saying anyways.

*knock knock*

I hear a faint knocking at my door.

"Come in??" I say with a questioned tone.

Skylynn walks in an immediately runs up to me screaming my name.

"HAYES!!"

She gives me a big hug and I'm so happy to see her and her smile.

"I've missed you Hayes." She says as she looks up at me.

"How's life been little sis."

"Boring. Cece has been bratty and acting like she's some princess and being mean to everyone. I think everyone's about sick of her. The one night she went out with Sky and Matt and didn't come home until 3am. Then when she got home she was drunk. She's a mess Hayes."

"What do I care? She hates me anyways"

"When she's not out partying or being a brat she sits in her room and cries. Now Nash will hardly play with me and he just leaves the house all the time. Mom and Dad are depressed and just go into there room and cry. Will is the only one who is semi normal but he has to work. Plus the house is a mess and smells awful. I miss you Hayes, we all do. I need you to help me fix this family."

"Ok Skylynn. What do we do first?" I said smiling.

She cheers and gives me another big hug.

"Ok so mom and dad are out at some dinner, Nash is out with Cam, Wills at work and Cece is out with Matt."

"Wait... Out with who?"

"Cece is out with Matt."

"Why?"

"Because when your dating you go out. Duh!" She replys.

Cece and Matt? Cece and Matt? I can't do this. My bestfriend and my ex bestfriend both d-d-dating? Ugh.

I get up and go downstairs with Skylynn, she's right it smells awful.

"Let's start in the kitchen because there animals in there." She says.

She's right there was a mouse and a lot of ants. First I set a mouse trap in the corner so we could catch him. Then we cleaned up all the dishes. I washed then handed them to Skylynn and she put them away. We were a perfect team. When we were done the dishes we saw all this food left on the kitchen table and counter that was going bad. We threw most of it away and wiped the counters. I then set any traps to catch the ants. The kitchen looked great but we weren't done. We cleaned out the fridge. As it turned out we didn't have much food, I guess we will go to the grocery store later.

We went room to room cleaning, dusting and vacuuming. When we had done all the downstairs rooms we moved onto the bedrooms. We did Mom and Dads first. We vacuumed, cleaned up/collected the trash and made there bed. We did that with each room, even Cece's. After all the rooms were clean we sprayed some air freshener. Everything looked perfect. We put all the trash we collected in the outside trash and set that by the road, trash day was tomorrow.

Skylynn and I looked around and everything was as clean as can be. It took 3 hours so now it was 6. We decided to go get some grocerys. I went upstairs and cleaned myself up first. I actually looked happy. I changed out of my clothes and put on axe and deodorant. I was all ready but I decided to put in some laundry. After the laundry was started we left.

We were at the store for an hour getting everything we needed. We came home and put the grocerys away. We order pizza and decided to watch a movie because we were both exhausted. When the movie was just about over mom and dad came home. They saw what we did and were amazed!

"Wow Hayes and Skylynn this is great! How long did it take you?"

"Only 4 hours but it was worth it. Oh and be careful there's a ant and mouse trap in the kitchen."

"Ok thank you. You guys didn't have to do this."

"It's fine. We also went to the store and got the groceries."

"You guys are too much!" My dad exclaimed.

"Oh and I still have one more thing I must do." I said smirking.

I tucked Skylynn into bed and heard the door downstairs open I rushed downstairs to see Cece looking awful. Here goes nothing.

"CECE!" I said in an angry tone. "SIT DOWN ON THE COUCH NOW!"

She say down and looked really annoyed.

"Now listen, my family was nice enough to let you live here and you repay them by being a fucking brat! You have walked around the house all week being annoying and acting like your some kind of princess. Let's do a reality check, your 14 you don't run this house, you don't live in some castle and you can't push people around. You use to have this thing called respect, it's where your nice and thank people for what they do to you. Have you looked around recently? Everyone is miserable and you think you can just walk around like you own this place, well you don't. You better change around your attitude quick or you might find your self living on the streets got it? Oh and your grounded until school starts so no more phone and no leaving the house." I say all of that yelling at her and I'm almost out if breath.

She looks at me shocked as I take away her phone.

"I SAID GOT IT?" I yelled at her.

She nodded. I turned around and saw everyone watching, even Skylynn.

"Sorry guys but it had to be done."

They all smiled and applauded me.

"Family Meeting!" I call as everyone piles in on the couch. We all talked for awhile and Cece just sat there. After the meeting was over I took her upstairs. I went into her room and looked around. I threw away some stuff that would be a bad influence and made her change out of those slutty clothes, I threw them away too. I turn to her as she sits on her bed and starts to cry.

"Cece it's for the best. You know that this isn't who you are." I said holding up the trash can full of the clothes and the bad influence. "I hope you can apologize to everyone for being the way you were for the past week. And you better never drink again until your 21. I care about you Cece, don't throw your life away." With that I wiped away her tears, stood up and opened her bed side table drawer. I grabbed all her razors and threw them in the trash. I will not let her harm herself. With that I walk out the door. I'm still not her friend, I don't know if I want to be now. It was my job to fix this family and I think I did. I put her phone in my secret compartment and went to sleep.
