Chapter 14- Who?

~Cece's POV~

I wake up the next morning and recall everything that happened. Damn, that was an eventful night. I really want to go out with Hayes but since I live here I don't know how that would work.

I get up and get ready for school. I fix up my hair by straightening it a little and then get dressed. I wear a purple tank with a gray cardigan jean shorts and gray vans. I apply mascara and head downstairs. Hayes is already down there when I get there.

"Hey babe" he says.

"Babe?" I asked with a puzzled tone.

"Oh sorry, I wont call you that."

"No, I liked it I was just surprised."

"Ohh ok well good."

He gets closer and try's to kiss me but I stop him.

"Hey no more kissing, we're not a couple."

"Yet." He says making me laugh.

"We have to go to school let's go." I say turning around.

He runs up to me kisses me quickly on the cheek and runs away laughing. Ugh that boy drives me crazy. We race to the bus stop and he wins of course, I'm such a slow runner. We get on the bus and see Sky and Brian in the same seat.

"We thought you guys would want your own seat" she says wiggling her eyebrows.

"Oh shut up" I say to Sky.

"Well I mean you guys couldn't stop sucking face last night."

"I don't know what your talking about." I say and Hayes and I laugh.

They didn't know about the walk home and the other kiss and it would stay that way. We got of the bus and headed to home room.

"So" Brian says.

"Oh geez, here we go." I say as we sit at our hometown seats.

"What's going on with you and Hayes?" He finishes

"Nothing, were just friends, how many times do I have to tell you this."

"Well when you make out in my living room I never would have guessed." Sky added.

"Oh just let it go." I say rolling my eyes.

"Do you like him?" Brian asks me.

We get interrupted by our home room teacher taking attendance, thank god. School is actually pretty boring today. I keep thinking about what happened last night. For some reason I can't stop thinking about his soft lips, his blue eyes and sweet smile. Ugh keep it together Cece. The truth is when Brian asked me if I liked him the answer was yes.

It's after lunch and Sky, Hayes and I are walking to history. We sit down at our table with Lauren and sit in silence. Lauren after a minute starts to talk to Hayes.

"So Hayes, how's Bree?"

"Umm what?" Hayes replys.

"You know, your girlfriend."

"I don't know what your talking about."

"Bree Johnson. The girl you were desperately in love with at the end of last year."

"She means nothing to me."

"Ok... But we all saw your eyes light up when I mentioned her name and your nervous now."

"Your lying! You know that I broke up with Bree and that she means nothing to me. You were there."

"I remember you saying you would never stop loving her when she moved to Tennessee."

"I-I-..."

"Exactly." Lauren smirks and gives a fake smile towards me as Miss Penge starts class.

Who's Bree and does Hayes still like her? Apparently they were in love last year, and probably only broke up because she moved away. He did seems really nervous and angry when Lauren brought it up. Maybe that's what Hayes was talking about when he said Lauren was mean and a big slut. I mean you see the slut part from what she wears but still.

After class Sky and I walk out while Hayes is talking to some other guy. He runs up behind me and grabs my hand and turns me around. He looks me dead in the eyes and says,

"I have no feelings for Bree. Lauren was just being who she is and trying to get you mad at me. I will tell you everything you want to know if you would like."

I smile and kiss his cheek. He blushes and I walk away with out saying a word. I will ask him to tell me what happened but that can wait until later.

~Lauren's POV~

After class I run up to Matt and tell him that our plan went well. We have been dating for over a year. He never actually broke up with me, it was just a scam to get her away from Hayes. We tried to turn her against him but she really likes him. Now we decided to bring up Bree. Hayes still likes Bree and he knows it. There is no way you could be that in love with someone and then forget about her when she moves. Plus he's going to have to tell her what happened with Bree eventually.
