Friends to Feelings [JHS]

Y/n walks by a crowd of students that enter the university, smiling and laughing. She trails behind, heading straight to the office to pick up her schedule. Being in a new place made her nervous but at the same time, what was there to be nervous about?

She had no friends and would like it to stay that way.

A man bumps into Y/n and knocks her down with a thud. "Are you okay?" She meets a pair of chocolate eyes staring at her with furrowed eyebrows. A faint blush appears on her cheeks, mesmerized by the man's beauty. "Ms..?"

He waves a hand to get her attention. Y/n snaps out of her trance and pushes him back, knocking him down. She quickly gets up and runs off to the main office, feeling way too embarrassed.

Hoseok blinks, picking himself up. When he looks down, his eyes catch a crescent moon laced onto a thread. It was a necklace. He picks it up, the light from the hall makes the moon shine. There was a single letter on the back of the moon. Is it her name?

"Hyung!" Jungkook runs to him with a grin. Hoseok quickly shoves the necklace into his pocket and makes a mental note to find the woman he bumped into. "What's wrong?"

Jungkook pulls out a bottle of water from his bag and takes a swig. "I heard there's a new student in our psychology course; a woman!" His eyes shimmer in excitement and his hands frantically shake. Hoseok sighs. "Focus on your studies first," he playfully scolds.

"Yes, dad." Jungkook plays along, rolling his eyes. Hoseok looks back to where the woman had fallen.

She's cute.

Y/n was wandering around, trying to find her class. She didn't know where it was and she didn't want to ask anyone. For thirty minutes, she mindlessly walks until she spots the number, sulking when she realizes it's the room closest to the office she was just at.

She enters the room, the chattering stops and everyone stares at her. She blinks and walks to the last row, taking a seat where no one else was at. Their stares didn't really faze her. Once she places her bag down, she pulls out her headphones and looks out the window.

She could see students rushing into the building. A chair drags next to you, catching your attention. Y/n turns her head to see the man she had bumped into earlier. Next to him was a man that had a bunny-like grin. Before he could turn to look at Y/n, she turned to look out the window.

A soft tap makes her turn to look at the man. "Oh, it is you." He says and stands up, pulling out a necklace that looked familiar. She raises her hand to touch her collarbone and realizes there's nothing.

Without a second thought, she snatched the necklace from him but didn't say a thing. Hoseok was shocked but didn't question her odd behavior.

"Everyone, please meet our new student, Y/n." Everyone turns to look at her. Y/n merely nods and looks straight ahead, ignoring their gazes, again.

"She's really pretty."

"Is she dating anyone?"

"How cute. I wish I could be good looking like her."

Y/n could hear their comments but continues to ignore them, and instead, writes down what the professor is talking about. Hoseok and Jungkook (which Y/n quickly found out where their names) were trying to speak to Y/n but she would answer with silence of a move of her head.
