The Rainbow On The Other Side//Phan

Phil walked into the classroom that was already half full and took his seat. The class was surprisingly quiet seeing as it was the third hour. As Phil took his seat he heard the many whispers among the class and decided to listen in on one conversation.

"Oh my god, Becky." Phil heard Jessica whisper into Becky's ear. "That new kid is like, the tallest lesbian ever!" (A/N: I'm sorry. I had to)

Phil looked around the room for an unfamiliar face that he would soon know but, all he saw was the back of someone's head with unfamiliar hair. Nobody Phil knew had brown wildly curly hair besides PJ, but PJ wasn't in his Math class.

"Alright! Everybody!" Mrs. Shuns clapped her hands twice and had a smile ear to ear. "If you do not remember yesterday or wasn't here, I said we would have a new student! But, I do not remember where I put his seat so, if this is your first day, raise your hand." Phil rolled his eyes and thought it was pathetic that the teacher didn't even remember the new kid's name, proving so by not even saying the child's name.

A hand imminently rose into the air in a straight line.

"Ah, yes!" Mrs. Shuns smiled. "Would you like to come up and tell the class a bit about your self?" The room was silent for a moment.

"I'd be delighted." The new kid's voice sounded relaxing and calm like Phil could hear the smile on his lips as he spoke.

A boy walked up in front of the class showing his outfit: A black jumper that was tucked into his black ripped skinny jeans but the rips were covered underneath by fishnet tights, his black converse was a bit dirty at the toe but otherwise, they were spotless. On top of his curly hair sat a rainbow flower crown making his outfit look aesthetically pleasing. He wore rainbow suspenders and on his shirt in rainbow said 'Love is not a choice'. Phil could already tell he loves this kid and that he'd try to hang out with him. Just one problem remains though; Is he Phil's soulmate?

"Hello," The boy waved as his dimples popped out when he smiled. "My name is Daniel Howell but, I like to be called Dan and I just moved from Wokingham because my mum and dad have separated."

The class gave a sad 'aww' with a frown as Dan spoke about his parents splitting up. Phil thought it was sad too just, he didn't show his emotions as everyone else did, he just stared at the boy trying to catch his name because he was drawing a dragon when he was first introducing himself.

"Anyways, I'm glad that I moved here to London. I get to see a brand new scenery and get to meet new people." Dan continued. "I guess I should wrap this up with a quick fact about myself, my favorite bands are My Chemical Romance, Fall Out Boy, and Muse."

The class clapped as Dan went back to his seat and sat down but before Dan could sit down Mrs. Shuns told him to get back to the front of the class so the class could ask questions.

"Who's your favorite member from My Chemical Romance?" A girl named Amber asked putting Dan in deep thought.

"Oof, that's hard." Dan sighed. "But, I have to say, Frank Iero."

Troye raised his hand and looked at Phil suggestively.

"What are you asking, Troye?" Phil whispered as Troye raised his eyebrows smiling. Dan called on Troye next.

"I know this is a cliché but," Troye's blue eyes glistened like diamonds in the light projected from the ceiling. "Who's your soulmate and what's your sexuality?"

Phil nudged Troye in the ribs with his elbow as Dan laughed. "Oh, I'm totally fine with that question." Dan smiled at Phil catching his eye. "Well, if you couldn't tell by my outfit I am most definitely gay and I'm proud of that and my soulmate is a boy named Phil Lester."

The whole class went silent as Phil's face turned red. Troye looked at Phil with his mouth hung wide open just like Phil's in shock that Phil had just met his soulmate.

"Um, is there a problem?" Dan began to feel uncomfortable now, his anxiety kicking in.

"Oh, n-no Daniel, please take a seat." Mrs. Shuns said trying to smile and igniting up the lesson.

Phil's couldn't pay attention in class that day knowing that his soulmate had just unknowingly moved into his life.
