U45: Book 1 and 2

Season 1 Episode 2 (June 9, 2018)

This episode starts with a playback of the first episode. The footage includes some of the rankings with Trainee Kim Jun Myeon (김준면) of SM Entertainment taking first place last week.

Then, the contestants record their solo cams. They are tasked to do the vocals and choreography together.

After recording themselves, the mentors evaluate their solo cams in a private room. They give their individual comments on their performances based on their choreography and vocal abilities.

The mentors gather their respective classes and announce their grades. They are told to not reveal their grades when not told so. One by one, the mentors ask those who were given a new grade to proceed to the dance studio with his/her grade on it. Here are their new grades:

After this, the contestants start practicing again. The A Class practiced their vocals and choreography the most. Trainees Chou Tzuyu (추쯔위) and Kim Jun Myeon (김준면) are deemed the best and are chosen as candidates for the visual center position.

The contestants are gathered in a studio to choose who they want to be the center. As what's written above, Trainees Chou Tzuyu and Kim Jun Myeon will perform the vocals and choreography in order for their fellow contestants to know of who deserves the position the most. After the performances, the contestants vote and the results say that Trainee Kim Jun Myeon will be the visual center.

They start practicing together on their stage. Similar to the Produce 101 franchise, the classes will be separated from each other but will eventually perform as one in the final stanza. Instead of the triangle, the 5 individual stages will form a pentagon.

After, they perform on a live performance. Then, the contestants gather at a function room. They see the Wall of Songs and Representative Park arrives and announces their next mission, the Group Battle. This episode ends with a cliffhanger which shows the contestants choosing their teams and some fighting for the song that they want to perform.
