U45: Book 1 and 2

Season 1 Episode 6 (July 7, 2018)

This episode started with a playback of the previous episode. This featured the Position Evaluation wherein Trainees Do Kyung Soo (도경수) and Ong Seong Woo (옹성우) received the 105,000 vote benefit each.

Then, the 36 remiaining contestants enter the studio by label. Soon after, Representative Sandara Park joins and inform them that they will be having the Second Ranking Announcement. She stated that only 27 will remain therefore 9 contestants will be leaving the show.

Before that, footage is shown where the contestants are being gathered in the auditorium. Then, Vocal Mentor Bae Suzy (배수지) joins them for something. She states that the national producers were voting on which concept each of the contestants will suit in the best for them. She announces the 9 contestants assigned for each concept. Only 27 of them will be able to perform it on stage so 9 of them will miss the chance of doing so. Here are the team assignments:

Soon after, the teams gather in their dance studio and are informed if which concept are they going to perform.

Then, they start practicing and chose their center. Meanwhile, the mentors will also be checking on their progress.

The Second Ranking Announcement resumes. Before announcing the results, Representative Park states that a total of 11,820,299 votes have been cast in the course of just two weeks for those who belong in the Top 27 alone. She also states that there have been a drastic change in the rankings.

After announcing the 5th place, she reveals the four candidates for the first place. They are Trainees Chou Tzuyu (추쯔위), Do Kyung Soo (도경수), Kim Jae Hwan (김재환), and Lai Guan Lin (라이관린). In the end, it was Lai Guan Lin who got first place.

After that, the four candidates for the 27th place are revealed. They are Trainees Oh Se Hun (오세훈), Park Soo Young (박수영), Zhang Yixing (장이싱), and Yoon Ji Sung (윤지성). But it was Oh Se Hun of SM Entertainment who was saved from elimination.

After announcing the results, the contestants bid farewell to each other. They promise each other that they will meet again in the future.

A teaser of the next episode is revealed. This shows footage of the contestants' preparation and performances in the Concept Evaluation. Meanwhile, the contestants are shocked with the result. Who got the most votes? Which concept ranked 1st?
