" You and I have memories longer than the road that stretches out ahead! "

===============================

Finally, after being in Hamburg for a full week and a half, we were going back to good ol' Liverpool. Although it seems exciting to go back, that also means going back to school.

That also means seeing Stu and Pete.

Not to mention that there's a possibility of seeing my sorry excuse for a Father again.

I didn't want to think about that now, though.

Right now, I just want to think about everything finally coming together right infront of us. Slowly, but surely. I looked out the window of the trailer and watched a slow snowfall cover the pavement like a blanket.

"Ye excited to finally be goin' back home, Macca?" John whispered into my ear.

Ofcourse he just had to bring this up.

"Yeah, 'course I am, but-" I trembled over my words.

He kissed my lips, "What's the matter, love?" He said after he pulled away.

"It's just... my Father... Stu and Pete." My bottom lip was now quaking. "Remember them?"

"Unfortunately, yes, I do. But I'll make sure none of 'em bother us, Macca." He assured me, planting another kiss on my cheek, this time. "Thas a promise."

Thankfully, George and Ringo were still fast asleep in their bunks near the back of the vehicle, so John and I had the whole cabin to ourselves.

"I can tell ye've been nervous abou' leaving Germany since we left the motel." John scooted closer to me and wrapped his arm around my neck. "Promise I won't let anything at all bother us, though... not anymore."

I leaned into John's neck and looked up at the boy, "John. My Father. He's not so-"

"What's he gonna do? Seriously? C'mon! He ran wi' his tail betweens his legs during our last... er... altercation." John chuckled a little.

"But what if he doesn't, next time? What if he hurts us? I jus don't want anything bad happening to us, John." I admitted. "I really don't know what I'd do."

"Yer gonna have to trust me this time, Macca." John took my hand in his and kissed my knuckles. "Jus trust me."

I blushed a little bit and muttered out, "O- Okay, I'll try my best... Please, don't let me down on this."

As I got closer to John, George came out of the rooms with a yawn, "Ello, lads."

I turned around to face him, "G'morning, abou' time ye lot get up!"

"Anyroad, where's Ringo, do ye know?" John asked.

George scratched his head sleepily and collapsed on the booth across from us, "Prolly still asleep, honestly."

"How much longer 'till we're in Liverpool, Johnny?" I looked up at John and asked.

John checked his watch, "Not long, abou' three hours or so?"

"Alright." I laid back into my seat and watched the passing cars on the highway. I rested my head on my hand, thinking about what's awaiting us back home.

"Why's he all upset?" George asked while cocking his head.

I quickly shot up and glared at George, "Jus because I'm sulking, it doesn't mean I'm upset, Geo!"
