Adam pulled up onto the drive frighteningly quickly, and got out the car as soon as possible.

"Am I that bad a passenger?" I asked him sarcastically, passing him the presents as he had already managed to make it to my side of the car and pulled put his phone.

"No, its not that" he said, dialing a number.

"What is it then?" I questioned, kicked the door closed.

"Beat you Pissface, got here first!" he said rapidly down the phone. "No, I promise I won't tell them. No, I won't tell Katie you love her" he mumbled before hanging up. I smiled a little, but then realised.

"Adam, no, don't do it" I begged, but it was too late. Martin had already answered the door.

"Jonny's hungover" Adam said immediately to him, so I stomped on his foot. Hard. Adam glared at me, so I glared back.

"Run over?"

"Hungover!"

"Your mum will love that" Martin commented as we entered, and he closed the door behind us

"T-shirt knickers today dad?" Adam asked as we took off our coats.

"Yes! Merry Christmas bambino! Merry Christmas femmina!" Martin cheered, kissing me on the cheek.

"Merry Christmas Martin" I said, kissing him back. "Is that your Christmas outfit?" I asked him, chuckling.

"My bottom was hot"

"Right"

"Yeah, it was really overheating"

"Okay, I'm going to go find Jackie" I said, picking up the flowers and darting through to the kitchen.

"Hi Katie! Happy Chrimbo!" she greeted, coming out of the kitchen before I got there.

"Merry Chrimbo" I chuckled, hugging her. "The house looks lovely" I told her, handing her the flowers.

"Aw, thank you, these are gorgeous! Merry Chrimbo bobble!"

"Hi mum"

"Martin, has your bottom cooled down yet?" Jackie asked him.

"Not yet"

"Why don't you stick it in the freezer" she laughed.

"But that's where the food is!" I opposed.

"True, Martin, do not put your bottom in the freezer" she instructed. "Vase" she said, handing the flowers to him. "Where's Jonny?" Oh shit.

"Yeah, you'd have thought he'd get here first since he's technically drink-driving" Adam told Jackie as went into the kitchen, so I kicked his ankle, making him trip up.

"What?"

"He's hungover" Adam told her.

"Hungover?"

"Apparently, Jonny's hungover" Martin also told her.

"Is there an echo in here?" Adam asked sarcastically while munching on a carrot. I picked one up one the tray and threw it at him. He scowled at me so I raised an eyebrow at him and he turned around and tutted, resulting in another carrot being thrown at him.

"Why is he always hungover on Christmas day?" Jackie moaned. "He knows the family are coming"

"So selfish"

"Happy Christmas!" Jonny called as he opened the front door. I ran out the kitchen and into the hall, tackling a very pasty looking Jonny into a hug, making him chuckle.
