I managed to suppress yet another giggle as Jonny made eye contact with me through the rear-view mirror once again, the very unimpressed look still plastered on his face. As Adam pulled up onto the drive, my laugh escaped, but I manage to cover it up with a cough.

"Careful of my hair!" Grandma practically screeched as Adam helped her out of the car, and Jonny pulled me out of the other backseat, rolling his eyes at me once again.

"I'm sorry, I can't help it," I whispered to him through giggles.

"Thanks," he tutted. "We don't even know what your dress looks like yet."

"I'm so worried about it, I pray that it isn't made out of the same material as that piping on the jacket. Grandma said it would be brown. I mean brown! For a dress at a wedding!" I continued to panic and waffle as I grabbed my bag out of the boot.

"Hey, calm down, it'll be fine. You look beautiful in anything," Jonny said quietly to me, putting a hand my back.

"Awe, thanks babe," I smiled, diving him a swift kiss, and we both laughed when we heard Adam groan.

"Just think, it'll be us getting married soon," Jonny told me.

"I know!" I bounced up and down on my feet as we padded over to the front door, feeling giddy every time I thought about marrying Jonny. "Hey, did you ever think you'd see your Grandma get married before you?" I joked, making Jonny roll his eyes once more.

"Here comes the bride!" Jackie cheered as she opened the door.

"Careful!" Grandma shrieked once more, dashing inside to check her hair in the mirror.

"Careful," Adam mocked as he walked in.

"Careful," Jonny also mocked.

"Hi Jackie," I greeted normally as I walked in the house.

"Hi love," Jackie smiled.

"How you doing?" I asked her. Knowing that she was probably freaking out.

"Well, brave face," she said quietly. "Boys, you look nice," she awed, turning to look at them both.

"We look like tits."

"Hello Mum! Or should I say-" Jackie greeted as Grandma came up to her, only to go into the bathroom. "The bride to be," Jackie finished.

"She's nervous," Jonny told her.

"You alright Martin?" I asked turning to him, shirtless as ever and with a fake smile on his face.

"Bloody boiling," he told me, and I nodded along.

"Has Dad had his brain reprogramed?" Adam asked.

"What? Martin questioned as he continued to fake smile like a lunatic.

"Martin, you can relax now," Jackie tutted as she put her hands on his face, as if to remove his smile.

"Oh, hello bambinos."

We shook our heads and walked through to the kitchen, Jackie the whole way telling Adam to be careful as he carried the dress through. Jonny ate a pretzel from the small bowl and leaned against the counter by the sink. I leant next to him and he put an arm around my shoulder, Adam on the other side of him.

"How is she?" Jackie asked.

"Ten-minute car journey, two toilet stops," Jonny told her bluntly.

"One at the garage, and one behind a hedge," Adam added.

"A hedge?"

"Quite a low hedge?"

"Blimey."

"Yes, blimey."
