Hyunjee sighed once he left. For some reason she already felt attached. He had really brightened up her day. She decided she should wake up and do something.
~
Hyunjee woke up feeling amazing. Better than she ever has before. She got up and made lunch after getting dressed. She quickly ate her sandwich before Yugyeom woke up.
He stumbled into the kitchen then grabbed the extra sandwich she had made for him. He flopped on the couch beside her and sighed.
"Any luck?" She asked already knowing the answer. He shook his head and looked down. She felt bad so she decided to comfort him.
"Yugyeom it's okay, I promise." She said. He looked at her then hugged her. The sentimental moment was broken by a phone call.
"Hey mom!" Hyunjee answered.
"Hey I got promoted today! I did some math and now I won't have to work two jobs. I might do some tutoring on the side for extra. Anyways, I was thinking we-" Her mom said but was cut off.
"No. We got this. We're going to make you a nice dinner." Yugyeom said confidently. Hyunjee looked at him with wide eyes as he flashed a mischievous grin.
"Oh Yugyeom. That's so sweet. Oh I need to get back to work. Love you!" She chirped before hanging up the phone.
"We're ordering something. You know we can't cook." She told her brother.
"I know. I planned on it. Let's just get something nice and set it up like it was home made." He responded.
She smiled at her younger brother and riffled his already messy hair.
A few hours later...
"I'm home!" Mrs. Kim stated as she walked through the doors. She hung her coat and purse up. She was then greeted by her kids. They hugged their mother. This was an embrace they missed.
"Dinners ready." Yugyeom said pulling his mom to the table. She smiled and they all sat down to eat dinner.
"So what's your promotion?" Hyunjee asked.
"I'm now the manager of the HR department but that doesn't matter. How are you guys. Any new news on the soulmates?" She asked. They both shook their heads. Yugyeom was telling the truth but Hyunjee wasn't. She didn't want them to know. She didn't want to make Yugyeom upset.
"I keep telling him he will find her but I don't think he believes me." Hyunjee teased. He pouted which made them all laugh.
"I really missed you mom." Yugyeom said.
"I did too." She responded. Her voice was trembling. She did really miss her kids. They finished dinner and cleaned everything up.
"I'm tired. I think I'm going to bed. Oh I forgot to mention that Tuesday we are having guests over. There is a lady new to the HR department and I invited her family. I hope that's okay." She said.
"Sounds great." Hyunjee said. Her mother smiled then went to her room. Yugyeom and Hyunjee want to bed right after her.
Hyunjee was excited to see him again. Her mother got back late and they had a long dinner so it was already 9:30. She drifted back into her world of sleep and peacefulness.

Hyunjee found herself where she always was. On top of the main building. She heard footsteps and noticed Youngjae there waiting for her.
"Hey," she greeted.
"What's up?" He asked casually.
"Not much. My mother got a promotion so that's good." Hyunjee said patting the concrete beside her. He walked over and sat down beside her.
"We moved early. My rooms not all the way unpacked but I'm close." He said.
"That must be stressful. Hey, do you want to go grab a soda?" She offered the boy. He happily agreed then followed her to the soda shop. She grabbed two sprites then walked around the city.
"This place is gorgeous. Did you do the graffiti?" He asked.
"Yup. I don't do it in real life but I think it's pretty." She stated.
"Can I ask you something?" Youngjae asked her.
"Sure." She responded. She faced him and looked into his eyes.
"Are you happy I found you?" He asked. He fidgeted with his bottle before she answered.
"Of course. Your my soulmate. I like you." She admitted. Blush danced across her cheeks. Youngjae smiled and chuckled.
"I like you too." He said confidently. She felt something warm inside. She really, really liked him.
