Epilogue
Noah
We were lying in Billie’s garden side by side. Her head was rested comfortably on my chest and her hand intertwined in mine. The grass was soft and springy beneath my back; still warm from today’s summer sun. We were staring up at the many constellations above us, stargazing. The moon hung high and full above us in a vast cloudless night sky, its light illuminating the world around us in its silvery glow.
“There is the big dipper,” I announce pointing up at the arrangement of stars in the sky “and Cassiopeia” I say moving my arm to point at another constellation before going on to the next one “and my personal favourite Orion, the hunter.”
“I can’t believe that I created these and I don’t even know their names!” Billie exclaimed.
“Well you have plenty of time to learn them don’t you.” I chortled bringing her closer to me.
It had been several months since Billie got her memory back and yet she is still in shock at the scale of what she created. I’m shocked as well to be honest, knowing that you girlfriend has been around since the dawn of time, is the creator of time itself, is rather daunting. But somehow my feelings have not changed, if anything they have got stronger because I now know her for the amazing being that she is. I look down at her face, lit softly by the radiant glow of the moon and the thousands of stars overhead, and melt slightly; her face is a picture of pure wonder and beauty. Her eyes are big and round like the moon above us, wide with wonder while her lips were slightly apart showing the tips of her teeth. I lowered my head until our lips were touching and we kissed under the moonlight knowing that our futures are intertwined and not minding one bit.
I can't believe that its finally finished! Thank you for all your support, I couldn't have done it without you!
