Loving Lies (Book 2)

Chapter 4

"Hello," I say as I walk into the house. I didn't hear anyone. I look around and no one was there. I go to the practice room and the plane was gone. They left.

I run back to the house and take some money just in case. Taking my old bike from the storage room,  i head into town.

"Excuse me but can I borrow a phone?" I ask, walking into a corner store.

"Yeah sure," the cashier says and points to the phone in the corner. I go to it and put in the quarters.

"Hello," a familiar voice says. I sigh in relief.

"Hey," I say.

"(Y/n)...?" Kristen asks.

"It's me," I tell her.

"Where were you calling from?" She asks. She didn't seem happy at all to hear my voice.

"Uh from the rusty corner store in town," I tell her.

"Stay there," She says in a hurry and ends the call. Something seemed off. I put the phone back and buy a snack. I go outside and eat the candy bar while I wait.

After a couple minutes I hear engines in the distance. I peer at where the sound was coming from and notice the planes. Shield planes.

She was trying to get me arrested. I drop the candy bar and bolt. The townsfolk look at me and whisper to each other. Looking at me as if I was a monster. As the Shield planes advance I run where it'd be hard to find me, the forest.

"(Y/n) (l/n) you are under arrest for threatening the lives of civilians, come out with your hands behind your head," a voice says. Kristen's voice.

"You seem lost," a voice says behind me. I jump and turn frantically. He was alien, I could tell he was. His purple skin made it clear.

"Please don't hurt me I didn't do anything...I-I swear," I cry and take a few steps back.

"Hurt you, I'm here to save you child, I'm Thanos," he says. How could I trust him? I didn't know who to trust.

"I've seen your pain. No one to trust, no one to love you. Your lover, your sister, your friends, and your dad have cast you aside. I am here to take you under my wing and guide you," he tells me.

"G-guide me to wh-what?" I stutter.

"To a life where no one can hurt you. Imagine no pain from anyone. Instead you show them your pain. Make them realize how much they've hurt you. After that everyone will love you. You can become a leader, make them worship you and love you," he tells me.

I hear the footsteps in the distance coming closer.

"Take your pick quickly child," Thanos says resting his hand on my shoulder. My body shivers as if I was drenched in cold water. It felt like....I was being controlled.

"I see her!" A voice yells.

"Take me with you and end this pain," I grit and take his hand. They'll pay, they'll all pay now. He grins and in an instant we're someplace else.

"May I ask who this is?" A green girl asks. She was older than me and I could tell she not to mess with.

"I was going to ask the same thing," another girl says. She was blue and part of her face was mechanical.

"This is (y/n) (l/n), you're new sister," He says, "get her a weapon and teach her to fight and I'll teach her what her powers are truly capable of," he says.

"How do you know...?" I ask.

"I've been studying you for a while Daughter, you are capable of so much more than making pints of water move. You are capable of making tsunamis, they are just to afraid of you to teach you," he explains, referring to the people in Asgard.

"All I know is that i want revenge for what they've done to me. Even if it means war then so be it. They will feel the pain I've felt," I scoff. Thanos smiles and let's go of my hand.

"Gamora and Nebula you can begin your training with her," he says and nudges me forwards towards them.

"Welcome to the family," Nebula says with a smirk.

Ok I know the song doesn't relate to the story but love Alec Benjamin and his new song is amazing😂😂 I feel this chap posted real slow sorry guys I've just been down in the dumps (more so then usual) and I've been really demotivated to write cuz I'm having writers block but on a happier note I had this one guy friend in elementary who had to move and i was so sad then but I saw him in the hallway like last week and dm'd him and I'm so glad I didddd
